  • Publication number: 20090232117
Abstract: A mobile phone terminal acquires and stores therein current position information thereof from a public wireless base station. The mobile phone terminal reads out a profile name corresponding to the acquired position information from a public wireless base station WLAN profile association table, and sets the read WLAN profile as a scan profile. Then, the mobile phone terminal scans the wireless LAN access point with the set WLAN profile when the mobile phone terminal is out of the WLAN service area.

  • Patent number: 7528577
Abstract: An information processor of an electronic apparatus includes a power manager managing power of a secondary battery, and has major functions and a supplementary function. The power manager initiates restriction of the supplementary function, when detected present remaining battery power of the secondary battery is below a threshold. The power manager computes the threshold for the secondary battery or a set operating time for the major functions according to the remaining battery power at the threshold, in accordance with received user input information and power consumption rates corresponding to the major functions. The power manager computes an operating time available for the major functions in accordance with detected remaining battery power of the secondary battery and the power consumption rates corresponding to the major functions.

  • Patent number: 7440743
Abstract: When the presence of an RF ID tag is detected by a contactless reader/writer, an information processing terminal causes a contactless reader/writer to set a state flag in the RF ID tag to a first state which indicates that a wireless LAN communication unit of the mobile telephone is in an inactive state, and sends presence information indicating the presence of the mobile telephone to the information processing apparatus. When the state flag in the RF ID tag is set to the first state, the mobile telephone disables the wireless LAN communication unit. The information processing apparatus receives the presence information and stores the received presence information in a database.

  • Publication number: 20080203060
Abstract: In etching of silicon nitride with a phosphorus type, if etching is carried for a long time, silicon oxide tends to precipitate, and it has been impossible to constantly carry out the etching for a long period of time. By an etching method for silicon nitride using a composition comprising a phosphorus compound, a boron compound, a silicon compound and/or their fluorides thereof, there will be no precipitation of silicon oxide even when the composition is used for a long time. It is particularly preferred to further add nitric acid and/or a nitrate, whereby stability of selectivity will be increased.
