  • Patent number: 10051642
Abstract: A mobile communication system capable of easily notifying the interference-related information and avoiding interference in a situation in which a macro cell and local nodes are deployed to coexist. In the system, a macro cell (eNB) notifies, via user equipments (UEs) present in a coverage, HeNBs present in the coverage of the interference-related information related to the interference to a physical resource to be used, for example, a high interference indication (HII) and an overload indicator (OI).

  • Patent number: 9980251
Abstract: A cell2 configured by only a DL CC2 being a resource for downlink is configured. The cell2 does not include a resource for uplink, that is, a UL CC to be associated with the DL CC2 by a DL/UL link. The link information indicating the above is notified a communication terminal device by a base station device using the DL CC2. A DL CC1 and a UL CC1 constitute a cell1. The downlink communication from the base station device to the communication terminal device is performed using the cell1 and the cell2, and the uplink communication from the communication terminal device to the base station device is performed using the cell1.

  • Publication number: 20180124683
Abstract: A closed subscriber group (CSG) cell is a cell that allows use of subscribers. In order to receive the service by the CSG cell, a CSG-ID is required to be notified to a user equipment, which cannot be obtained in a situation outside the reach of radio waves from a non-CSG cell. In a mobile communication system including base stations respectively provided to a CSG cell and a non-CSG cell in which access is made to the CSG cell with the use of a CSG-ID issued in a case where use of the CSG cell is allowed, the base station provided in the CSG cell refers to the notified identification information of a user equipment and then transmits a tracking area update request from the user equipment to a core network, and the core network determines whether the user equipment is allowed to use the CSG cell and, in the case where the use is allowed, transmits a signal for allowing assignment of radio resources to the user equipment and the CSG-ID. The user equipment accesses the CSG cell with the use of the CSG-ID.

  • Publication number: 20180110027
Abstract: The present invention has an object to provide a communication system capable of avoiding congestion in downlink communication or uplink communication and a shortage of radio resources arising therefrom. In the present invention, in a communication system including a normal user equipment (normal UE) that performs human to human communication and a machine type communication device (MTCD) that performs machine to machine communication, a base station device transmits a paging message to the normal UE and the MTCD for calling the normal UE and the MTCD. The paging message contains, for example, an equipment identity (UE-ID). A maximum number of equipment identities (UE-IDs) that can be accommodated within this paging message is set individually for the normal UE and the MTCD. Alternatively, the paging message contains a calling indicator in place of the equipment identity of the MTCD (UE-ID of MTCD).

  • Patent number: 9930639
Abstract: Since OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing), which is a downlink access scheme used for an LTE (Long Term Evolution) communication system, is weak at interference, it is preferable that the number of base stations for transmitting the same E-MBMS (Evolved Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service) data base not excessive. Thus, the mobile terminal performs: processing of obtaining measurement quality values by measuring reception quality of each base station; processing of deciding on whether the measurement quality value of a serving base station exceeds a certain receiving level; processing of adding measurement quality values of other base stations to the measurement quality value of the serving base station until the sum exceeds the certain receiving level; and processing of notifying the serving base station of the serving base station and other base stations as candidates for an active set for E-MBMS.

  • Publication number: 20180041324
Abstract: A mobile communication system capable of preventing interference in a communication system as well as reducing the load of a user equipment in a search operation. In the mobile communication system, radio communication is performed using a carrier having the same frequency in a direct link between a donor cell and a user equipment being served thereby and an access link between a relay node and a user equipment being served thereby. In a backhaul link between the donor cell and the relay node, radio communication is performed using a carrier having a different frequency from that of the carrier used in the direct link and the access link.

  • Publication number: 20170156092
Abstract: A mobile communication system includes a CSG cell which is accessible by a CSG member, a hybrid cell which is the CSG cell where a non-CSG member is also allowed access at the same time, and a mobile terminal which is subscribed as the CSG member and connected to the CSG cell or the hybrid cell as the CSG member. Even in a case in which a subscription time period has expired, the mobile communication system enables the mobile terminal to continue the connection. When the subscription time period for the CSG member expires, in case of the mobile terminal's connection to the CSG cell, the CSG cell initiates a handover, in case of the mobile terminal's connection to the hybrid cell, the hybrid cell changes treatment for the mobile terminal from treating the mobile terminal as the CSG member to treating the mobile terminal as the non-CSG member.

  • Publication number: 20170150404
Abstract: A mobile communication system includes a movable user equipment device, a plurality of base station devices configured to perform radio communication with the user equipment device, and a relay device movably configured to relay radio communications between the user equipment device and the base station devices. In a handover process of switching a base station device to be connected with the relay device from a base station device being a moving source to a base station device being a moving destination along with moving of the relay device, the base station device being a moving source selects the base station device being a moving destination from base station devices other than a base station device that does not have a function supporting the relay device, and performs the handover process such that the relay device is connected to the selected base station device.

  • Patent number: 9603060
Abstract: A mobile communication system capable of continuing communication between a relay device and a base station device if the relay device moves. In a handover process, when it is judged that an establishment cause for RRC connection is attached from an RN, a target eNB judges whether the own device has the DeNB function. In a case of judging that the own device does not have the DeNB function, the target eNB notifies the RN of an RRC connection rejection. When being notified of the RRC connection reject, the RN stops the handover process and then returns to a source eNB.

  • Patent number: 9585070
Abstract: A mobile communication system hybridly allows, in a case where an access group consisting of one or more user equipments and one or more base stations is registered, the base station included in the access group to have access in a closed mode from the user equipment included in the same access group and access in an open mode from a user equipment that is not included in the same access group, wherein a communication area of the base station in the open mode is identical to a communication area of the base station in the closed mode. This eliminates a communication area in which the base station serving as an access destination differs between the user equipment in the closed mode and the user equipment in the open mode.
