  • Patent number: 9306993
Abstract: A communication system has three types of cells including, in addition to an MBMS dedicated cell, a unicast cell to and from which a mobile terminal can transmit and receive individual communication data, and a unicast/MBMS-mixed cell which can provide both a service provided by the unicast cell and a service provided by the MBMS dedicated cell. While receiving the broadcast type data transmitted from the MBMS dedicated cell, the mobile terminal makes a notification of an MBMS receiving state via the unicast cell or the unicast/MBMS-mixed cell to transmit information for identifying the MBMS dedicated cell, and the communication system transmits a paging signal to the mobile terminal currently receiving the broadcast type data transmitted from the MBMS dedicated cell on the basis of a tracking area (Tracking Area) in which the mobile terminal is tracked, the tracking area being determined on the basis of the information transmitted.

  • Publication number: 20160073311
Abstract: A mobile communication system hybridly allows, in a case where an access group consisting of one or more user equipments and one or more base stations is registered, the base station included in the access group to have access in a closed mode from the user equipment included in the same access group and access in an open mode from a user equipment that is not included in the same access group, wherein a communication area of the base station in the open mode is identical to a communication area of the base station in the closed mode. This eliminates a communication area in which the base station serving as an access destination differs between the user equipment in the closed mode and the user equipment in the open mode.

  • Publication number: 20150382373
Abstract: In accordance with the present invention, in a case of using persistent scheduling, when detecting a transition from a talk state to a silent state, resources to be allocated during a silent state are allocated to a channel exclusive for silent period, and the resources which have been allocated to a mobile terminal during the talk spurt are released. Therefore, the useless allocation of resources can be reduced, and the throughput of the system can be improved.

  • Publication number: 20150334636
Abstract: A closed subscriber group (CSG) cell is a cell that allows use of subscribers. In order to receive the service by the CSG cell, a CSG-ID is required to be notified to a user equipment, which cannot be obtained in a situation outside the reach of radio waves from a non-CSG cell. In a mobile communication system including base stations respectively provided to a CSG cell and a non-CSG cell in which access is made to the CSG cell with the use of a CSG-ID issued in a case where use of the CSG cell is allowed, the base station provided in the CSG cell refers to the notified identification information of a user equipment and then transmits a tracking area update request from the user equipment to a core network, and the core network determines whether the user equipment is allowed to use the CSG cell and, in the case where the use is allowed, transmits a signal for allowing assignment of radio resources to the user equipment and the CSG-ID. The user equipment accesses the CSG cell with the use of the CSG-ID.

  • Publication number: 20150264671
Abstract: There is a problem that when a closed subscriber group (CSG) cell available to subscribers is installed in a macro cell area, communication cannot be performed due to the interference between a macro cell and the CSG cell in an area thereof. The CSG cell that is provided in the CSG cell area and transmits a downlink synchronization signal using a radio frame assigns control signals to a first subframe and a second subframe among a plurality of subframes constituting the radio frame, and the macro cell that is provided in the macro cell area and transmits a downlink synchronization signal using the radio frame assigns control signals to a third subframe and a fourth subframe, which are shifted from the first subframe and the second subframe by a predetermined number of subframes, respectively, among the plurality of subframes constituting the radio wave, the CSG cell and the macro cell being configured to perform transmission in synchronization with each other.

  • Publication number: 20150215920
Abstract: A mobile terminal monitors a candidate set (Candidate Set) of L1/L2 control information. However, when a base station carries out signaling of a candidate set to each of all mobile terminals, the load on the base station from the viewpoint of radio resources becomes large. Furthermore, the amount of processing in performing a blind detection of each mobile terminal also increases. Therefore, the base station carries out a process of performing grouping of the above-mentioned mobile terminal which is a destination of transmission of the above-mentioned L1/L2 control signal, a process of allocating an L1/L2 control signal to be transmitted to a predetermined mobile terminal to the control channel elements included in a group to which the predetermined mobile terminal is belonging on the basis of attribution information about the mobile terminal.

  • Patent number: 9036566
Abstract: A communications method and a mobile terminal that constructs a communications system which transmits data by using an OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) method as a downlink access method, and also transmits data by using an SC-FDMA (Single Career Frequency Division Multiple Access) method as an uplink access method. The mobile terminal includes a processor that determines a candidate set including CCEs (Control Channel Elements), each of which is one of regions to which one frequency bandwidth is divided, for delivery of an L1/L2 control signal which is control information transmitted and received between a base station and the mobile terminal. In addition, the processor, which is at the mobile terminal, determines the candidate set based on the frequency bandwidth.

  • Publication number: 20140301371
Abstract: A mobile communication system capable of continuing communication between a relay device and a base station device if the relay device moves. In a handover process, when it is judged that an establishment cause for RRC connection is attached from an RN, a target eNB judges whether the own device has the DeNB function. In a case of judging that the own device does not have the DeNB function, the target eNB notifies the RN of an RRC connection rejection. When being notified of the RRC connection reject, the RN stops the handover process and then returns to a source eNB.

  • Publication number: 20140286187
Abstract: Since OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing), which is a downlink access scheme used for an LTE (Long Term Evolution) communication system, is weak at interference, it is preferable that the number of base stations for transmitting the same E-MBMS (Evolved Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service) data be not excessive. Thus, the mobile terminal performs: processing of obtaining measurement quality values by measuring reception quality of each base station; processing of deciding on whether the measurement quality value of a serving base station exceeds a certain receiving level; processing of adding measurement quality values of other base stations to the measurement quality value of the serving base station until the sum exceeds the certain receiving level; and processing of notifying the serving base station of the serving base station and other base stations as candidates for an active set for E-MBMS.
