  • Patent number: 7485448
Abstract: A method for obtaining a virus vector free of a serum, and a serum-free medium for cultivation of a virus producer cell which can be used for the method are provided. By cultivating a virus producer cell using a serum-free medium containing serum albumin, it is possible to cultivate the cell in a state equivalent to that in a serum-containing medium to produce a virus vector at a sufficient titer. The virus vector prepared from the virus producer cell cultivated in the medium exhibits gene transfer efficiency comparable to that of a conventional vector. The medium is useful for gene therapy and studies thereof.

  • Patent number: 7475128
Abstract: A device and method for autonomously deciding whether or not to execute data processing requests (commands) from other devices is provided. A rule mapping processor for determining whether or not to executed data processing based on data processing requests received from other devices is also provided. A determination is made at said rule mapping processor as to whether or not to execute data processing based on data transmission mode information for received data processing requests. Determination of execution or non-execution of autonomous processing is possible with this configuration so that in distributed data processing occurring at, for example, a P2P-connected network configuration etc., it is possible to eliminate procedures such as selection of nodes executing processing and therefore enable efficient data processing, packet transmission accompanying deciding of processing nodes can be reduced, and reduction of network traffic may also be made possible.

  • Patent number: 7444421
Abstract: A distributed storage system having n nodes (201), (202), . . . , (20n), a recording commanding device (10) for commanding recording of data in each node, and a transmission commanding device (30) for reading out the data recorded in the respective nodes. These nodes and the devices are interconnected over a network. The recording commanding device (10) applies FEC coding, with the coding rate of q/p, to data composed of p blocks, to generate q blocks, and appends a recording probability a, recorded by the node, to the data, to send out the resulting data to the network. In readout, the transmission commanding device (30) responds data to which has been appended the response probability ? in responding the data.

  • Patent number: 7268659
Abstract: A thin film magnetic induction element includes a ferrite substrate, a coil provided across the ferrite substrate and including connection conductors and coil conductors, and terminals provided on perimeter portions of the substrate. Terminals capable of being adversely affected by an induced magnetic flux, such as a VDD terminal, a CGND terminal, an IN terminal, a PVDD terminal, a PGND terminal, an FB terminal, a CE terminal, and an AL terminal are arranged along the Y-direction of the substrate, in which the magnetic flux density is low. Terminals substantially incapable of being adversely affected by an induced magnetic flux are arranged along the X-direction of the substrate, in which the magnetic flux density is high. A micro electric power converter having the thin film magnetic induction element is less susceptible to circuit malfunctions.
