  • Publication number: 20100045418
Abstract: A common-mode choke coil has induction immunity characteristics that are improved by a coil structure preventing a transmitter IC and a receiver IC from malfunctioning during an induction immunity test and which controls a decrease in ESD resistance and a decrease in self-resonance frequency. The common-mode choke coil includes a core, external electrodes, a pair of coils, and a top plate. The core includes a core section and a pair of flange sections. The pair of coils are wound around the core section of the core, and the ends of the coils are connected to the external electrodes, respectively. An underside and a side surface of the top plate are plated with a metal film, and bonded to the top surfaces of the flange sections preferably by an adhesive agent. The metal film is segmented into two separate portions so as to define two separate metal sections with a gap therebetween so that the metal sections are electrically disconnected.

  • Publication number: 20090096140
Abstract: A stopper member forms a part of a lock mechanism in a gas spring. A rod body has a base end side inserted into a cylinder body, with the rod body movable into and out of the cylinder body and urged in an outward direction with respect to the cylinder body by the pressure of a gas sealed inside the cylinder body. A stopper member receives a head end portion of the cylinder body inside the stopper member. A projecting portion of the stopper member is located on an end face opposite an end portion of the cylinder body. The stopper member can be shifted manually between a first position that allows contraction of the rod body into the cylinder body, and a second position in which such contraction is prevented, thereby locking the gas spring in an extended state.

  • Publication number: 20090010901
Abstract: The present invention relates to primary cultured adipocytes for gene therapy, where the adipocytes stably maintain a foreign gene encoding a protein that is secreted outside of cells. This invention provides cells suitable for gene therapy, which can replace bone marrow cells and liver cells used for conventional ex vivo gene therapy. The present invention established methods for transferring foreign genes into primary cultured adipocytes, which are suitable for ex vivo gene therapy; can be easily collected and implanted; and can be removed after implantation. Specifically, the present invention established these methods that use retroviral vectors. The present invention also established primary cultured adipocytes for gene therapy, where the adipocytes stably maintain a foreign gene encoding a protein that is secreted outside of cells.

  • Patent number: 7321801
Abstract: An automatic gain adjustment device and method capable of accurately adjusting a gain with a simple structure. In an automatic gain adjustment method of a feedback control system that uses a phase difference between an output signal obtained from a controlled object and an input signal while controlling the object based on the input signal, a phase shift amount is set to cause a frequency of the input signal to coincide with the crossover frequency at which the open loop gain forming the feedback control system becomes 0 dB, and a phase of the input signal is shifted based on the phase shift amount.
