  • Publication number: 20030218401
Abstract: A direct current motor includes a stator generating a magnetic field therein and a rotor having an armature and rotating inside the stator. A commutator for supplying electric current to the armature is connected to the rotor. The commutator is composed of plural commutator segments bonded together with an insulating resin material. Each commutator segment includes an anchor portion formed at a radial inside and a projecting portion extending in an axial direction, and both portions are embedded in the insulating resin. The commutator segments are firmly bonded with the insulating resin, and the bonding strength is increased without enlarging the commutator size.

  • Publication number: 20030013591
Abstract: A decanter type centrifugal separator capable of discharging sludge directly from a portion of the sludge with least moisture content in a bowl so as to lower a moisture content and increase a separation efficiency, wherein a screw conveyor rotated with a difference in speed provided relative to the bowl is stored in the bowl rotated at a high speed, a dewatering cake discharge route (20) is provided in one end wall (2) of the bowl, an opening (20a) of the route into the bowl is provided near the inner peripheral wall of the bowl, the discharge route provides a restriction effect to the discharge of the dewatering cake, and a sedimentary layer with thick sedimentation layer is formed near the opening, whereby that portion only of the cake is discharged through the discharge route under head press of the sedimentation layer, that portion receiving the highest consolidation effect by the head press of a centrifugal force acting on the sediment, among the sedimentation layers accumulated at one end of the bowl.

  • Patent number: 5191696
Abstract: In a continuous rolling line wherein the tail end part of a preceding rolled plate and the head end part of a following rolled plate are joined subsequently to a rough rolling and subjected to a following continuous finish rolling: a joining method of rolled plates wherein the tail end of the preceding rolled plate and the head end of the following rolled plate are formed into a nearly rectangular convex and concave shape respectively so as to inlay each other, the convex part and the concave part being combined each other in the same plane as the rolling lines, and then being fed to the continuous finish rolling; a joining method rolled plates wherein the side surface of the parallel inlay is formed in a taper shape in the direction of the plate thickness at any desired location of either the tail end part of the preceding rolled plate or the head end part of the backward rolled plate or of the both parts, and then being fed to the continuous finish rolling; and a joining method of rolled plates wherein the

  • Patent number: 5152897
Abstract: A method for the purification of a bifidobacteria-proliferating substance is provided which comprises adjusting the temperature of soybean whey to 50.degree. to 100.degree. C. and the pH thereof to 6.5 to 10 either by adding an alkaline substance to the whey and heating it or by heating the whey and adding the alkaline substance, removing the formed precipitate, ultrafiltering the resulting liquid phase part to obtain as the permeate an aqueous solution of a bifidobacteria-proliferating substance, and if necessary subjecting the permeate to further purification steps, i.e. active carbon or adsorbing resin treatment, electrodialysis and ion exchange resin treatment. By the step of the alkali substance treatment and heating in this invention, permeate flux in the succeeding ultrafiltration step is remarkably enhanced. Further, a bifidobacteria-proliferating substance having a high quality can effectively be obtained by the present purification method.

  • Patent number: 5087449
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for purification of a bifidobacteria-proliferating substance which comprises treating the extract of soybean or its treated matters or soybean whey or treated solutions thereof with an ultrafiltration membrane, treating with activated carbon and then subjecting to an electrodialysis treatment. The present invention also relates to the thus obtained bifidobacteria-proliferating substance.

  • Patent number: 4942458
Abstract: A color liquid crystal display apparatus includes a receiver, a color separation circuit, A/D converters, a liquid crystal panel, and an adjusting section. The receiver receives an external radio wave and outputs a video signal. The color separation circuit color-separates the video signal and outputs red, green, and blue video output signals. The A/D converters A/D-convert the red, green, and blue video output signals. The liquid crystal panel having a plurality of pixels formed therein displays an image on the basis of outputs from the A/D converters. The adjusting section can independently adjust at least one of low and high reference potentials used as references for A/D conversion by the A/D converters.
