Abstract: A system is provided for use with a video input signal and a video unit. The video input signal can be one of a two dimensional video signal and a three dimensional video signal. The video unit can display a three dimensional video and a two dimensional video. The system includes a receiver portion, a processing portion, a switching portion and an output portion. The receiver portion can receive the video input signal. The processing portion can output a first signal in a first mode of operation and can output a second signal in a second mode of operation, wherein the first signal is based on the video input signal and the second signal is based on the video input signal. The switching portion can switch the processing portion from the first mode of operation to the second mode of operation.

Abstract: A method and system that configures an HDMI source device to use initial output parameters for communicating with an HDMI sink device, detects an abnormal operation performed by the HDMI sink device, selects a test of the HDMI sink device, applies the test, evaluates a result to determine whether the test produces a desired result, and modifies the initial output parameters to create revised output parameters. When the test produces the desired result, the revised output parameters will enable the HDMI sink device to produce the desired result. When the test fails to produce the desired result, the revised output parameters are conservative parameters that fail to produce the abnormal operation. The method reconfigures the HDMI source device to use the revised output parameters for communicating with the HDMI sink device, and saves the revised output parameters.

Abstract: A method of processing a sequence of coded video frames conveyed by a digital data stream, where each frame represents an image, includes receiving the sequence of coded video frames at a recording device, determining a frame interval between presentation of an ith coded frame of the sequence and an (i+1)th coded frame of the sequence, calculating a stream time stamp for the ith coded frame, and calculating a stream time stamp for the (i+1)th coded video frame based on the stream time stamp for the ith coded video frame and the previously determined frame interval.
