  • Publication number: 20140062803
Abstract: A wireless communication device includes a housing and an antenna. The housing is made of metal and defines a conductive chamber. The chamber includes a bottom wall, two opposite first side walls, and two opposite second side walls connecting to the first side walls, the first side walls and the second side walls surrounding around the bottom wall. The antenna comprises a radiating body, a feed end, and a ground end. The radiating body is suspended above the chamber and distanced from the conductive chamber in such a way that the antenna functions in a resonance mode with the conductive chamber, in operating at the required frequencies. The feed end and ground end extend from the radiating body and are connected to one of the second side walls.

  • Publication number: 20140055304
Abstract: An antenna apparatus includes a metal shell, a circuit board parallel to the metal shell which forms a space between the circuit board and the shell, a tunable matching circuit mounted in the space with an terminal electrically connected to the shell, and an capacitive feed coupling antenna mounted on the circuit board. The capacitive feed coupling antenna includes a coupling ground strip mounted on the circuit board and a feed strip. The feed strip includes a first portion and a second portion mounted on the circuit board with a portion extending along an edge of the circuit board. The first portion is electrically interconnected between the other terminal of the tunable matching circuit and the second portion.

  • Publication number: 20140055318
Abstract: A broadband antenna element includes a circuit board, an antenna carrier connected to the circuit board, and a broadband antenna. The broadband antenna includes a first antenna and a second antenna which are conductive bent strips of metal. The first antenna includes a first feed terminal and a second feed terminal. The second antenna includes a third feed terminal and a coupling ground terminal. The second feed terminal and the coupling ground terminal are mounted on the circuit board keeping a first predetermined distance away from each other. The first feed terminal is mounted on the antenna carrier/circuit board being connected to the second feed terminal, and the third feed terminal is mounted on the antenna carrier being connected to the coupling ground terminal.

  • Publication number: 20140009345
Abstract: A wireless communication device includes a metal housing, a baseboard, and a current feed member electronically connected to the baseboard to obtain an electrical current from the baseboard. The housing defines a first notch and a second notch communicating with the first notch. The housing couples with the current feed member, such that the first notch and the second notch both induce the electrical current to excite two resonance modes, the two resonance modes enabling the wireless communication device to receive and transmit first wireless signals and second wireless signals having different central frequencies.

  • Publication number: 20140009352
Abstract: A wireless communication device includes a housing and an antenna assembly. The antenna assembly includes a base board, a feed member electronically connecting with the base board to carry an electrical current, and a radio member including a first radio portion, the first radio portion defining a first slot. The radiator couples with the feed member, inducing an electrical current in the first radio portion. The radio member is electronically connected to the base board through the metal housing, enabling the induced electrical current to flow through the first radio portion, the metal housing, and the base board to form a current loop. The induced electrical current flows through the first slot to excite a first resonance mode, enabling the antenna assembly to receive/transmit a first wireless signal.

  • Patent number: 7148425
Abstract: The invention relates to a power plane system for suppressing ground bounce noise. The power plane system of the invention comprises a substrate, a power layer and a ground layer. The power layer comprises a plurality of metal units. There is a distance between two adjacent metal units. A plurality of bridges is used for connecting the metal units. The ground layer has a grounding metal plate. According to the invention, when the ground bounce noise occurs, the metal units can broaden the stop-band bandwidth. Therefore, the signals in the stop-band hardly are transmitted so as to suppress the ground bounce noise, and the high frequency ground bounce noise and the electromagnetic radiation can be suppressed efficiently.

  • Patent number: 4905830
Abstract: A packing case includes a case body consisting of an upper housing and a lower housing between which a chamber is formed. An end of the upper housing is connected pivotally to an end of the lower housing by a pivot coupler. The pivot coupler clamps the ends of the housings resiliently together. A needle and a lead core can be secured to the non-pivoted ends of the housings so that the packing case functions as a pair of compasses for drafting purposes. When the non-pivoted ends of the housings are separated, the relative position of the housings or compasses are fixed accordingly. When the housings are bifurcated, a swivel hook can be journalled on the pivot coupler so as to constitute a clothes hanger.
