  • Patent number: 8724544
Abstract: A method of transmitting a packet, at a MS and base station operable using multiple communication schemes is disclosed. The base station of the multiple communication schemes receives a packet from the MS and then determines a transmission path based on a link status of a network, a traffic characteristic of the packet and the like. The base station transmits the packet of the first communication scheme via a network using a second communication scheme, thereby enabling traffic redirection. Such a resource as a frequency band and the like, which will be used between networks using different communication schemes, can be cooperatively set between the MS and the base station.

  • Publication number: 20140119647
Abstract: Provided are a method and apparatus for decoding a mixed code that is a combination of first and second code images. In the method, a mixed code image is obtained by receiving the original image having the mixed code image and removing noise from the original image. Next, the colors, shades, and brightnesses of pixels of the mixed code image are categorized into groups based on a predetermined threshold, the mixed code image is divided into first and second code images, and first and second information are extracted by decoding the first and second code images, respectively. The first and second code images can be effectively decoded by decoding interpretation information, construction information, error control information, and code direction information stored in the first and/or second code images.

  • Publication number: 20130221105
Abstract: A mixed code, and a method and apparatus for encoding the same are provided. The mixed code includes a first code image region storing a first code image obtained by encoding first information using color, shading, or a combination thereof, and a second code image region storing a second code image obtained by encoding second information using color, shading, or a combination thereof. The first code image and/or the second code image includes the results of encoding interpretation information, construction information, error control information, and code direction information. The mixed code is made by adjusting the difference in color and brightness between the first and second code images to a predetermined level and combining these images.

  • Publication number: 20130214917
Abstract: A vehicle theft prevention service method and system is capable of estimating theft of a vehicle even in the case where such a two-wheeled vehicle can be moved without start-up to be stolen and a vehicle theft prevention service method and system where a user is informed of location of a vehicle at the time of estimating theft of the vehicle, so that it is possible to accurately determine the theft based on the location of the vehicle at the time of estimating the theft of the vehicle. The vehicle theft prevention service system includes an electronic key and a theft monitoring device. The theft monitoring device is installed in a vehicle and determines that the vehicle is in a theft-estimated state and transmits an alarm message if a sensed acceleration value obtained by sensing a movement of the vehicle is a predetermined value or more. The electronic key outputs an alarm if the alarm message is received. Herein, the external apparatus may be a user terminal or a server.

  • Patent number: 8316689
Abstract: Provided is a method for quantitative evaluation of mar- and scratch-induced surface damage on polymeric and coating materials. The method for quantitative evaluation of scratch-induced damage on polymeric and coating materials includes: preparing a test specimen of polymeric and coating materials; inducing a scratch damage on the surface of the test specimen; representing the scratch damage formed on the test specimen as corresponding color coordinates; and calculating a quantitated scratch damage index from a combination of a load applied to the surface of the test specimen and the color coordinates corresponding to the scratch damage.

  • Publication number: 20120171653
Abstract: A method of creating a relationship diagram for electronic book (or e-book) contents in a reader includes determining whether there is a relationship diagram creation request in a current page. The method includes, if there is the relationship diagram creation request, determining whether there is a relationship diagram associated with a previous page. In addition, the method includes, if there is the relationship diagram associated with the previous page, displaying the relationship diagram in an input window. Further, the method includes, if the relationship diagram displayed in the input window is modified and there is a save request, allowing the modified relationship diagram to be saved in accordance with the current page.

  • Publication number: 20120163179
Abstract: A method for efficiently processing traffic in an intermediate access point such as a relay station is disclosed. To process traffic directed from one or more terminals to a base station, an intermediate access point supporting two or more communication scheme receives traffic from the one or more terminals according to a first communication scheme, measures a congestion level of the received traffic, transmits a first traffic being part of the received traffic to a second intermediate access point according to a second communication scheme, if the congestion level is equal to or higher than a predetermined threshold, and transmits a second traffic being remaining traffic of the received traffic except the first traffic to the BS.
