    Abstract: An invention relates to an organic electroluminescent display. The organic electroluminescent display comprises a substrate, a bonding pad, and an FPC (Flexible Print Circuit). The substrate comprises a luminescent surface and a non-luminescent surface. An organic electroluminescent (EL) structure is disposed on the non-luminescent surface to provide the organic EL structure to electrically connect to an outer circuit. The FPC, disposed on the same side of the organic electroluminescent structure, comprises a junction portion and a main portion, in which the main portion connects to the junction portion and electrically connects to the outer circuit. The junction portion is adapted to connect to the bonding pad and the main portion is directly extended to the direction toward the organic electroluminescent structure.

    Abstract: A method of forming shallow trench isolation includes etching trenches through a nitride layer, a polysilicon layer, and a pad oxide layer and into a semiconductor substrate. The trenches are filled with an oxide layer. A silicon oxynitride layer is deposited overlying the oxide layer and both these layers are polished away using a first slurry having high selectivity. A second polishing polishes away the oxide layer using a second slurry having a low selectivity. The nitride layer is removed and a third polishing is performed to planarize the oxide layer using a third slurry having high selectivity. Alternatively, the oxide layer is etched away except where it overlies the trenches. A first polishing is performed to polish away the oxide layer using a first slurry having a low selectivity. A second polishing is performed to polish away the oxide layer using a second slurry having high selectivity.

    Abstract: A new method is provided for manufacturing a gate electrode. A layer of gate material, such as polysilicon, is deposited, patterned and etched, defining the poly gate electrode structure. LDD and pocket impurity implants are performed, the LDD profile is created by a rapid thermal anneal. Next and of critical importance to the invention, a N2 or O2 or N2 based plasma treatment is performed to eliminate defects in the exposed surface of the silicon substrate and sidewalls of the defined gate electrode that occur as a result of the etch of the layer of gate material. Then gate spacers are formed.

The pixel circuit coupled to the power circuit comprises a driving transistor and a light emitting device. The driving transistor comprises a first end coupled to the power circuit, and the light emitting device coupled to a second end of the driving transistor is driven by the equivalent current to illuminate.

    Abstract: The invention provides an apparatus and a method for rubbing the alignment layer in the LCD substrate. The rubbing apparatus of the present invention further includes a conditioning roller, in addition to the rubbing roller, to rejuvenate the rubbing roller in real time so as to lengthen the roller lifetime in the rubbing process and increase the rubbing rate. By employing the conditioning roller along with the rubbing roller, the rubbing process includes an extra conditioning step for conditioning the rubbing roller, thus shortening the production cycle time and increasing the throughput.

    Abstract: A MOS circuit arrangement includes a silicon substrate, a semiconductor device, a field oxide layer, and a poly-protective layer. The poly-protective layer deposited on the active region to communicate the field oxide layer with the terminal of the semiconductor device, wherein the poly-protective layer provides a junction breakdown path between the semiconductor device and the silicon substrate to increase a junction breakdown voltage of the semiconductor device.

A liner is formed on the vertical sidewalls of the gate electrode. A silicon nitride spacer is formed on the liner. The main surface is then ion implanted using the gate electrode and the silicon nitride spacer as an implantation mask, thereby forming a source/drain region of the MOS transistor device in the main surface. The silicon nitride spacer is removed. A silicon nitride cap layer that borders the liner is deposited. The silicon nitride cap layer has a specific stress status.

    Abstract: A pixel of display is used in an Organic light emitted diode (OLED) display. Driving Circuit of the OLED display outputs a data current and a scanning signal. The pixel of display includes a switch circuit, a first transistor, a second transistor, a capacitor, a switch and a lighting emitting element. The switch circuit, which is controlled by the scanning signal, includes an input end for receiving the data current. When the scanning signal is enabled, a first and a second ends of the switch circuit respectively output a first and a second currents. The second current charges the capacitor. The voltage between the gate and the source of the first transistor is stored in the capacitor. When the scanning signal is disabled, the switch is turned on. The first and the second transistors respectively output currents corresponding to the cross-voltage of the capacitor to the lighting emitting element.

    Abstract: A transflective electrophoretic display device is disclosed. The device is comprised of a transparent top substrate and both top and bottom substrates have an electrode structure. A plurality of separated walls and an electrophoretic display solution including a plurality of chromatic particles and a transparent liquid are imposed between the two substrates. A device with a display liquid or a filter plate is used to generate a variety of lights such as monochromatic, color-level or true color having a mixture of red, green and blue. The device of the present invention integrates the merits of the reflective and transmitted displayer, and can be used outdoors, indoors or in darkness. Otherwise, a back light module can compensate for the contrast of the displayer effectively.

    Abstract: A control system for a disk device is integrated into the control unit of a host. The control unit transmits a control signals to the control system. The control system transfers the control signals to a signal transferor, and outputs information signal to the control unit. By receiving the control signal from the signal transferor, a spindle motor rotates an optical disk, a pick-up head picks up information signals on the optical disk to the signal transfer, and a feeding mechanism moves the pick-up head backward and forward along the radial direction of the optical disk. The disk device is just used for igniting, transferring, and transmitting signals, and the high efficient control unit of the host directly controls the operation of the disk device to extend usage scope.
