    Abstract: A sensing system that includes a cylindrical body including an internal flow channel that channels a first fluid therethrough, and a sampling chamber. The sampling chamber is in flow communication with an ambient environment. A venturi device is coupled within the cylindrical body, and the venturi device includes a high pressure portion and a low pressure portion. The low pressure portion is in flow communication with the sampling chamber. A valve is coupled within the cylindrical body and is positionable in at least a first position. A first flow channel is defined between the internal flow channel and the high pressure portion through the valve. The first flow channel channels the first fluid towards the high pressure portion such that the low pressure portion draws a second fluid into the sampling chamber from the ambient environment. A sensor assembly determines characteristics of the second fluid within the sampling chamber.

    Abstract: An electric grinder with a switched reluctance motor comprises a body, a transmission assembly, a grinding wheel, and a dust-proof assembly. The body includes a first casing and a second casing. The transmission assembly includes a switched reluctance motor disposed in the first casing, a driving module disposed in the second casing, a transmission shaft connected with the switched reluctance motor, and an assemblage seat disposed in the transmission shaft. The assemblage seat includes an assemblage member for assembling the grinding wheel. The dust-proof assembly includes a dust-proof hood disposed in the first casing. Because of being driven by the switched reluctance motor, the electric grinder of the present invention adapts to the cases of phase failure, frequent start-stop operations, and phase inversion.

The bottom surfaces of the micro-structures are connected to each other. The first side surfaces and the second side surfaces are obliquely connected, the second side surface of one micro-structure being at the outermost side of each film portion. Angle ?1 between the first side and bottom surface of each micro-structure is less than angle ?2 between the first side surface and the second side surface and the sum of first and second angles ?1 and ?2 is less than 90°.

    Abstract: The present invention is to provide a knife configured to receive a blade securely and safely in a handle thereof. The handle is assembled at least from first to third plates. The blade has one end pivotally connected between the second and third plates. The first plate has a switch groove extending in a front-rear direction and configured to position a locking switch. The second plate has a positioning hole corresponding to the switch groove. A positioning member (e.g., a steel ball) is engaged in the positioning hole. When the blade is received in the handle, an engaging hole in the blade corresponds precisely to the positioning hole so that a user can push the locking switch against a top portion of the positioning member, and consequentially for enabling a bottom portion of the positioning member to extend into the engaging hole, thereby fixing the blade and preventing the blade from exposure.

In order to solve the problem of some lens systems having focal lengths that are shorter than the working distances of the lens systems, one aspect of the inventive subject matter described herein provides the lens assembly with a negative lens and plural positive lenses. A first positive lens is located between a second positive lens and an imaging plane, the second positive lens is located between the first positive lens and the negative lens, and the negative lens is located between the second positive lens and the tube lens.

The lens comprises a body having two surfaces and a plurality of layers of optical thin film layered along a direction formed on at least one surface. The optical thin films comprise less than 20 layers and thicker than 400 nm and thinner than 2000 nm thickness. Through the alternately layered layers of optical thin film, the transmittance of the lens for incident light in infrared ray band is reduced. Therefore, the infrared ray is mostly filtered without use of an additional infrared ray filter.

The first elastic member is connected with the operating member and the base. The second elastic member is connected with the locking structure and the base. When the operating member moves along the first direction and compresses the first elastic member, the locking structure moves along the second direction by a resilient force of the second elastic member and exposes the opening. When the operating member moves along an opposite direction of the first direction, the locking structure moves along an opposite direction of the second direction and covers the opening.
