  • Patent number: 6574320
Abstract: A payphone coin release device includes a base plate fixed inside the payphone casing and having a pivotal pin extending therefrom to rotatably support thereon a driven link having two opposite arms of which one is rotatably pivoted at one end of an intermediate link and the other one rotatably supports thereon a coin release roller to cooperate with a conventional coin receiving device. The base plate also has a hole through which a shaft rotatably extends to drivingly engage a driving link. The driving link has a pin formed thereon to drivingly engage an intermediate link. The intermediate link is pivoted at two opposite ends to both the driven link and the driving link. The shaft of the driving link extends outside the payphone casing and is connected to a user-actuateable lever so that by actuating the lever, the driving link is rotated to drive, through the connection of the intermediate link, the driven link to rotate about the pivot.

  • Patent number: 6487292
Abstract: A telephone connection cover has multiple holes defined in a top face of the cover; two caps each oppositely formed on a side of the cover; two notches each oppositely defined in a side of the cover, and each adjacent to one of the caps; multiple legs each extending from a corner of the cover for securing each corner of the terminal connection; and a fixing post extending from one side of the cover and into an aperture of the terminal connection. With such an arrangement, the terminal connection cover is able to prevent the terminal connection from being damaged by a falling object and becoming rusty due to the moisture in the air.

  • Patent number: 6286755
Abstract: A coin retrieval device for a pay phone includes a panel having a shaft with a retrieval lever extending radially therefrom. A guide device is pivotably connected to the panel about two pins on two ends of the guide device. The guide device includes a guide plate and a jam plate pivotably connected to the end plate of the guide plate. A gap is defined between the guide plate and the jam plate for coins passing therethrough via a coin slot defined through the guide plate. One of the two pins has a torsion spring mounted thereto which has two ends respectively connected to the retrieval lever and the guide plate. The guide device can be pivoted relative to the panel by lifting the retrieval lever, and a distal end of the jam plate is pivoted toward the coin slot to prevent coins from being inserted into the coin slot.

  • Patent number: 6193562
Abstract: A mother board connector of public telephone is disclosed. The mother board connector includes a first socket base and a second socket base. The first socket base includes a plurality of first socket holes and a plurality of second socket holes on the two opposite ends of the first socket base, respectively, each first socket hole aligned with a respective second socket hole which has a smaller inner radius. A first conducting tube with an outer radius greater than the inner radius of the first socket hole is sleeved into the second socket hole and protrudes out of one end of the second socket hole. The front end of the second socket base includes a plurality of concave holes with respect to the first socket holes. The bottom of the concave hole has a conducting rod connected with a conducting wire to extend the conducting wire out of the second socket base. The concave hole is sleeved with a second conducting tube with an inner radius smaller than the outer radius of the conducting rod.

  • Patent number: 6098875
Abstract: An improved structure of a coin collector cover comprises an upper cover, a cover plate, a buckling piece, a positioning plate and a twisted spring. The upper cover is installed with a coin inlet and a slot. The cover plate is located on the plane of the upper cover. A plurality of teeth are installed on the edge thereof, and a twisted spring is arranged between the cover plate and the upper cover. By the elastic force of the twisted spring, the cover plate may be retained to cover the coin inlet. The buckling piece is pivotally installed on the plane of the upper cover. The edge thereof is installed with a plurality of teeth pieces for being engaged with the teeth of the cover plate. A nose portion is disposed at the edge thereof, while the buckling piece is further installed with a block which is combined with a lock. The edge of the positioning plate is formed with a concave portion for receiving the buckling piece so that the positioning plate can be installed on the plane of the upper cover.

  • Patent number: 5963628
Abstract: A reinforcement pay phone upper housing for mounting to and protecting a pay phone is disclosed, including an outer casing having at least a front panel and two opposite side panels extending from the front panel to be mounted to the upper portion of the pay phone so as to at least cover a portion of a front side and two lateral sides of the upper portion of the pay phone in order to protect the upper portion of the pay phone. An inner plate is arranged inside the outer casing and fixed to an inner surface of the front panel. The inner plate has an opening for mounting dial keys which extend out of the front panel through corresponding openings provided on the front panel. An intermediate reinforced plate is interposed between the inner surface of the front panel and the inner plate, having a reinforced section on which an opening for the dial keys is formed.

  • Patent number: 5848153
Abstract: A blast proof apparatus for the coin return cavity of a public phone, having the embodiment of the coin return cavity cover comprises an inner cover and an outer cover; a spring element between the said inner cover and the outer cover forming an elastic force to bind the two covers closely contact with each other, a plurality of through holes formed on the surface of the inner cover, the said cover combination being then placed to the coin return mouth by a pivot so the cover is able to be pushed inward for money removing process. If an explosion occurs inside the coin return cavity, the high pressure formed by the explosion pushes the outer cover outward through the through holes on the inner cover and is released in order to avoid possible damages in the coin return apparatus.
