  • Patent number: 7534116
Abstract: A memory card connector includes a metal shell defining a receiving space for receiving a memory card inserted into the receiving space in an insertion direction through an insert opening generally at a front end of the shell. An insulating socket is disposed generally at a rear end of the metal shell and includes a plurality of conductive terminals. A push/push card ejector is provided and includes a slider. The push/push card ejector also includes an actuating lever that extends transversely of the insertion direction and has a first end pivotally attached to the slider and a second end engageable with the memory card for engaging and ejecting the memory card. The connector may be configured so as to minimize packaging space outside of the metal shell.

  • Patent number: 7494361
Abstract: A card edge connector that allows the insertion of an electric card includes an insulating body, a plurality of terminals, and two metallic pieces. Each of the two metallic pieces includes a substrate, an elastic arm connected to the substrate, and a locking portion connected to the upper edge of the free end of the elastic arm. The locking portion has a curved bottom surface and a smooth bottom surface. The smooth bottom surface is adjacent to the curved bottom surface. When locked, the curved bottom surface of the locking portion presses and locks the electric card. When the curved bottom surface loosens due to vibrations of the electric card, the smooth bottom surface of the locking portion presses and locks the electric card firmly. Therefore, the locking effect is increased, and the electric card is prevented from loosening and bounding upwardly.

  • Publication number: 20090042430
Abstract: A fastener for a socket connector includes a frame and a pressing assembly. The frame has an opening and a plurality of protrusions. The protrusions extend from inner edges of the frame toward the opening. The pressing assembly has a cover and a buckling piece. The cover is pivotally connected to the frame. The buckling piece locks the cover on the frame. Using the above arrangement, the protrusions are used to accurately align the socket connector within the opening, thus the inter edge surface of the frame is aligned with the outer peripheral surface of the socket connector. In this way, the pressing assembly of the frame can be operated accurately to lock and press a chip module on the socket connector.

  • Patent number: 7445482
Abstract: A card edge connector includes an insulating body, a plurality of terminals, and two metallic pieces. The insulating body has a body portion and two side frames. The body portion has an insertion slot. The top and bottom surfaces within the insertion slot have a plurality of flanges. The advantage of the present invention lies in that the interior of the insertion slot has a plurality of flanges. Therefore, the insertion slot can be made wider to facilitate the insertion of an electric card and prevent the phenomenon that the electric card cannot be inserted into the insertion slot due to the deformation of the insertion slot. When the electric card is inserted, the flanges abut against the upper and lower surfaces of the electric card, so that the electric card can be stably fixed in the insertion slot. As a result, the electric card has greater stability.

  • Patent number: 7309241
Abstract: An electrical connector is provided for mounting on a circuit board. The connector includes an insulative upright body having a front mating face and a rear terminating face. An engaging plate extends from the mating face of the body in a forward mating direction away from the body. An extension plate extends from the terminating face of the body in a rearward direction away from an upper distal end of the body. A plurality of terminal-receiving passages extend through the body between the front and rear faces thereof. The body is relatively thin in a front-to-rear direction. • Publication number: 20070270011
Abstract: A card edge connector that allows the insertion of an electric card includes an insulating body, a plurality of terminals, and two metallic pieces. Each of the two metallic pieces includes a substrate fixedly provided on both sides of the insulating body, an elastic arm connected to the substrate, and a supporting portion having a supporting plate with a supporting surface facing upwardly. The lower edge of the supporting plate is connected to the lower edge of the elastic arm. The present invention uses the supporting portion of the metallic piece to block and support the electric card, thereby preventing the electric card from being displaced downwardly and vibrating. Further, the supporting portion is formed on the elastic arm with good elasticity and is not prone to deformation and damage. Further, the supporting portion restricts outward displacement.

  • Publication number: 20070238346
Abstract: A card edge connector that allows the insertion of an electric card includes an insulating body and a plurality of terminals. The insulating body has a body portion and two side frames. The body portion has an insertion slot. The lower portion of the front end of the body portion has a stepped trough. The terminals are mounted onto the body portion via fixing portions, and are distributed on upper and lower sides of the insertion slot. The terminals on the lower side are mounted onto the body portion via the stepped trough, thereby reducing the length that the pin portion of the terminal on the lower side protrudes from the front end of the body portion. The present invention utilizes the stepped trough to reduce the length that the pin portion protrudes from the front end of the body portion of the insulating portion. When the electric card is inserted, the electric card is prevented from contacting the pin portion.
