Abstract: An adjusting mechanism for an optical pickup head has a cam-shaped adjusting base used to optimally adjust the inclination of optical pickup head. The cam-shaped adjusting base is formed by plastics injection molding in a manner so as to be directly connected to the chassis, which simplifies the assembly process and reduces the production cost.

Abstract: A tray-constrained mechanism of optical disk drive is proposed. This mechanism, consisting of a resilience part, forms an elastic constraint between the resilience part and a lateral wall on the protrusion part of bottom case, in order to constrain a tray and to reduce vibration generated by a spindle motor. Furthermore, because this mechanism contains only one resilience part, it can reduce both material cost and manufacture cost.

Abstract: An optical compact disk drive includes a housing and a mounting seat with a disk-supporting tray that has opposite front and rear peripheral portions and that is formed with a recess between the front and rear peripheral portions and an elongated opening extending from a center of the recess to the rear peripheral portion. A pair of front air-communicating openings are formed in the front peripheral portion, and at least a rear air-communicating opening is formed in the rear peripheral portion. Air is permitted to flow from a bottom side to a top side of the disk-supporting tray through the front and rear air-communicating openings.

Abstract: An optical compact disk drive includes a housing with a top cover, a disk-supporting tray mounted in the housing for supporting a compact disk thereon and cooperating with the top cover to define a gap therebetween, and an acoustic-and-vibration attenuator mounted in the gap to divide the gap into a plurality of angularly spaced apart compartments around a central axis that passes through a center of the compact disk.
