Abstract: A method and apparatus for performing measurement based on synchronization signal (SS) blocks in a wireless communication system is provided. A user equipment (UE) which supports a new radio access technology (NR) receives a SS block measurement timing configuration (SMTC) from a network, and performs measurement based on the SS blocks in a duration which is determined based on the SMTC. The SS blocks are included in an active bandwidth part (BWP).

Abstract: A device displays a user interface of the social network platform, including status updates of users, a photo uploading region, and an input region for entering status updates of a user. The device presents recommended photos for upload in the photo uploading region. The recommended photos are selected by dividing photos in the photo library into one or more groups based on photographing location and photographing time, where, if a photographing location of a photo is not a regular location associated with a user of the device, the photo is grouped based on a common photographing location, and if the photographing location of the photo is a regular location associated with the user of the device, the photo is grouped based on a common photographing time. Photos are selected from at least one group as a recommended photo in the photo uploading region.

Abstract: A humidifier heater base assembly has a heater plate with a thermally conductive portion and a perimeter portion around a perimeter of the heater plate. A resilient member has an inner part attached to the perimeter portion and an outer part adapted to provide a resilient perimeter flange around at least part and preferably the whole of the perimeter portion. The resilient member fixes the heater base to the humidifier by the resilient perimeter flange such that the heater plate and the inner part can move relative to the humidifier in a direction substantially transverse to the general plane of the heater plate. At least a portion of the resilient perimeter flange remains stationary relative to the humidifier.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an apparatus for estimating scatter in positron emission tomography, comprising processing circuitry configured to acquire an emission map and an attenuation map, each representing an initial image reconstruction of a positron emission tomography scan, calculate, using a radiative transfer equation (RTE) method, a scatter source map of a subject of the positron emission tomography scan based on the emission map and the attenuation map, estimate, using the RTE method and based on the emission map, the attenuation map, and the scatter source map, scatter, and perform an iterative image reconstruction of the positron emission tomography scan based on the estimated scatter and raw data from the positron emission tomography scan of the subject.

Abstract: Some embodiments relate to an integrated circuit (IC) that includes a semiconductor substrate. A shallow trench isolation region downwardly extends into the frontside of the semiconductor substrate and is filled with dielectric material. A first capacitor plate and a second capacitor plate are disposed in the shallow trench isolation region. The first capacitor plate and the second capacitor plate have first and second sidewall structures, respectively, that are substantially parallel to one another and that are separated from one another by the dielectric material of the shallow trench isolation region.

Abstract: An audio device is adapted to receive and process a digital audio signal and output an analog audio signal. The audio device includes an adder, a digital-to-analog conversion circuit, an amplifying circuit, a voltage detecting circuit and an offset compensating circuit. The voltage detecting circuit detects a supply voltage received by the amplifying circuit. The offset compensating circuit generates a DC offset compensation value according to the supply voltage. The adder adds the digital audio signal and the DC offset compensation value to output an added signal. The digital-to-analog conversion circuit converts the added signal into a converted analog audio signal. The amplifying circuit amplifies the converted analog signal to output an amplified analog signal. Accordingly, the audio device can reduce pop noise caused by a DC offset.

The wireless device determines a failure to receive the random access response. Based on the failure and a time alignment timer of the cell, the wireless device determines an uplink signal, for transmission via the cell, as one of a second preamble and a negative acknowledgement. The wireless device transmits the uplink signal.

Abstract: A controller for managing a battery pack includes: a detection terminal, for transmitting an enable signal when values of battery parameters for the battery pack satisfy a sleep condition, where the enable signal enables the detection circuit to detect whether the battery pack is connected to a load and whether the battery pack is connected to the charger; and a receiving terminal, for receiving a detection result transmitted by the detection circuit. The detection result indicates whether the battery pack is connected to at least one of the load and charger. The controller controls the battery pack to enter a sleep mode of the sleep modes based on the detection result. The controller also includes a control terminal, for transmitting a control signal to control an on/off state of a charging switch and/or a discharging switch. The control signal is generated by the controller based on the detection result.

Abstract: An iron/shikonin nano-composite and a use thereof, and a method for preparing the same by supermolecular self-assembly, belonging to the technical field of functional materials. The composite consists of shikonin and ferric ions, wherein shikonin is coordinated with the ferric ions, and the hydroxyl and carbonyl groups in shikonin are coordinated with the ferric irons to form a complex, which is then assembled by ?-? stacking and hydrophobic interactions to form a nano-composite which exhibits glutathione response. The composite is obtained by the following steps: adding an aqueous solution of a ferric salt and an organic solvent solution of shikonin in sequence into water while stirring at ambient temperature, continuously stirring at ambient temperature, and centrifuging the resulting mixture to purify, thereby obtaining an iron/shikonin nano-composite in the resulting solution.

Abstract: An apparatus is provided for measuring the power of electrolytes at different positions of a flow battery by switching six-way valves without reconnecting channels. With the measurements at the positions, weighting is processed to obtain power corresponding to charging statuses for determining accurate power. The charging and discharging of voltage and current of the battery are controlled for constant operations with high efficiency. Consequently, the efficiency of power conversion is improved; energy consumption is reduced; and the battery is always run within a safe power-range for avoiding accidents or damages to the battery. In addition, the present invention is further applicable to a device monitoring the features of a battery unit. The six-way valves online monitor the power at center positions by switching. The values measured at different positions are aimed at the abnormality of the battery unit for processing adjustment or offline replacement to maintain best operation performance.
