The UE may determine the MCC based on results of the one or more searches and perform a targeted service acquisition search based on, and limited by, the MCC. The MCC may be associated with one or more cellular modes, RATs, and/or cellular bands via a data structure that maps the MCC to the one or more cellular modes, RATs, and/or cellular bands.     Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for user equipment (UE) devices to perform a radio access technology (RAT) upgrade. A UE may initiate a background scan to upgrade RAT while camped on a first system in response to an occurrence of a first condition. The first system may include a first PLMN that operates according a first RAT. The UE may determine a second system operates according to a second RAT that provides upgraded service as compared to the first RAT. The second system may be included in one or more systems found during the background scan. The UE may attempt to register on the second system based on the second PLMN operating according to the second RAT. The first and second PLMNs may each have an associated operator preference and the first PLMN may be preferred over the second PLMN.

The method includes: determining whether or not to switch a video image for a video communication with a peer device of the terminal device and the terminal device when the video communication is in progress; switching the video image for the video communication from a first video image acquired by the terminal device to a second video image acquired by a designated smart device when it is determined to switch the video image for the video communication, the designated smart device being communicatively coupled to the terminal device; and sending the second video image to the peer device.
