  • Publication number: 20210329857
Abstract: The disclosure provides a method of screening tobacco germplasm for resistance to Alternaria alternata by ripening seedling leaves. The method includes ripening seedling leaves, spray inoculation, disease induction, and evaluation of disease resistance. Dense planting, fertilizer control, and potassium increment were used to forcibly ripening seedling leaves. A hospitable environment was simulated to induce disease in the ripened leaves. These treatments reduce differences in leaf maturity and avoid environmental changes. The technique of the disclosure provides greater accuracy and repeatability than the current technique of screening brown spot resistance, and offers the advantages of simple operation, reduced cost, space requirement, and labor intensity, high selection efficiency, and an accurate screening of tobacco phenotypes with resistance to brown spot, etc., used for large-scale screening of tobacco varieties with resistance to brown spot.

  • Publication number: 20210260535
Abstract: The invention belongs to the technical field of composite membrane, and in particular discloses a UIO-66-NH2 doped organosilicon high salinity wastewater treatment membrane and a preparation method thereof. The membrane is formed into UIO-66-NH2/organosilicon hybrid membrane on the prefabricated ceramic support surface through the dip-coating method by doping the UIO-66-NH2 metal-organic framework material into the organosilicon polymeric sol. The UIO-66-NH2/organosilicon hybrid membrane prepared by the present invention exhibits high water permeability (up to 1.6×10?10 m3/(m2 s Pa) and high salt retention (NaCl retention rate is more than 99.9.%) in the application of pervaporation desalination, and maintains stable membrane structure in the treatment process of TDS>5 wt % high salinity wastewater.

  • Publication number: 20170228513
Abstract: A service provider system 110 operates to receive and store initial patient vital sign information, and to use this vital sign information to assign an initial queue position to the patient. The patient wears a mobile vital sign monitoring device that detects vital patient sign information and periodically sends this information to the system 110, which uses the current and past vital sign information to determine whether the patient vital signs are within an acceptable clinical range, and if not, the system 110 operates to modify the position of the patient within the queue.

  • Patent number: 8884772
Abstract: An emergency notification and response system is linked to a fire alarm system, a security system and to a communication network over which it sends and receives emergency messages to and from building occupants and to emergency response personnel. The emergency notification and response system comprises a notification module which operates to receive signals from a fire detection system and send one or more messages to building occupants to investigate the validity of a possible fire event, and to respond to the message with an indication that a fire event is in progress or not. Depending upon information received in the response, the notification module sends an evacuation message to a selected sub-set of the building occupants that includes instructions for evacuating the building.
