  • Patent number: 8867364
Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a method for multi-homing path selection of a stream control transmission protocol (SCTP). The method includes the following steps of: starting quality evaluation of paths; calculating a quality evaluation value of each path; comparing the quality evaluation value of each path; and selecting a path with the highest quality evaluation value to transmit a data message. The present disclosure also discloses an apparatus for multi-homing path selection of an SCTP. By adopting the method and the apparatus, a network selects the path with the highest quality evaluation value to transmit a data message. As long as path faults affect the transmission efficiency, other path with better quality is selected for transmission, thus the capability of the network of dealing with all kinds of path faults can be improved, and the data transmission speed and quality are further improved.

  • Patent number: 8279845
Abstract: A system for realizing the reception of a incoming call number by a terminal includes a CDMA network and a HRPD network providing service support for the terminal, respectively, where an MSC in the CDMA network connects with an access network of the HRPD network via interface A1. A method for realizing the reception of a incoming call number by a terminal in advance includes: the MSC in the CDMA network transmitting the incoming call number of a paging to the access network of the HRPD network through interface A1; the access network forwarding the incoming call number of this paging to the called terminal; the called user deciding whether to accept the incoming call based on the received incoming call number. Accordingly, the switching between HRPD and CDMA2000 1x can be avoided when the user decides not to accept the incoming call.

  • Patent number: 7916302
Abstract: A method for maintaining measurement accuracy of a ring laser gyroscope is disclosed. The method involves periodically measuring a path length control voltage in the ring laser gyroscope over a prescribed temperature range. When a first path length controlled by the path length control voltage deviates at least one wavelength from a nominal path length, the method detects the change in the path length as a mode shift. For each mode shift, the method applies a path length correction to maintain the first path length at a target path length over the prescribed temperature range. The method can apply a correction to a measurement signal output of the ring laser gyroscope by adjusting a calibrated scale factor depending on an actual integer number of wavelengths achieved during a mode shift.

  • Patent number: 7885670
Abstract: The invention discloses a communication method of a dual-mode terminal, including: a Mobile Switch Centre (MSC) sends a message containing calling party information to an access functional entity of a High Rate Packet Data (HRPD) network via an InterWorking Solution (IWS) after receiving an initiated paging to a dual-mode terminal in the HRPD network; the access functional entity of the HRPD network sends a message containing the calling party information to the dual-mode terminal; the dual-mode terminal performs a subsequent communication according to the received calling party information. In the invention, upon receiving initiated paging from a dual-mode terminal in an HRPD network, the MSC sends a message containing the calling party information to an access functional entity of the HRPD network via the IWS, complexity of message processing is decreased, time of message processing is reduced.

  • Patent number: 7700327
Abstract: A method has been discovered to produce a resistant starch product that retains the same cooking quality as found in untreated rice starch or flour, but has a higher percentage of starch resistant to ?-amylase digestion. This method uses a debranching enzyme, e.g., pullulanase, to digest the starch, but does not require pre-treating the starch source prior to enzymatic treatment. This method produced resistant starch from low amylose starches, rice starch (24%) and rice flour (20%). Surprisingly the resistant starch product formed by this method retained the pasting characteristics of the untreated flour or starch, and was heat stable. This method may also be used to produce resistant starch from other botanical sources, e.g., corn, wheat, potato, oat, barley, tapioca, sago, and arrowroot. Resistant starch produced by this method has a variety of uses in food products.

  • Publication number: 20060202385
Abstract: A master mould is made by wire cutting a plate in two or more directions to provide a base with an array of master mould needles protruding therefrom. The size and shape of the master mould needles can readily be varied by varying the angles of upward and downward cuts in the two or more directions. The master mould is used to make a secondary mould by hot embossing a secondary mould plate onto the master mould. This forms through-holes in the secondary mould. The secondary mould is plated with a layer of metal, which forms a microneedle array.

  • Publication number: 20060045159
Abstract: An oxygen diffusion barrier is used to maintain a purity level of lasing gas in a ring laser gyroscope or other gas discharge device. The oxygen diffusion barrier reduces a release of contaminate gases into a cavity of the ring laser gyroscope and/or absorbs the contaminate gases in the cavity. The oxygen diffusion barrier may be formed on walls of the cavity before or after assembly of the ring laser gyroscope. Alternatively, a material may be applied to inside walls of a cathode mounted on a block of the ring laser gyroscope to maintain the purity level of the lasing gas. As a result of maintaining the purity level of the lasing gas, the ring laser gyroscope operates more efficiently.
