    Abstract: Methods and apparatus for increasing a bonded area between an ultrathin die and a substrate. In some embodiments, the method may include cleaning the die and the substrate, placing the die on an upper surface of the substrate, compacting the die to the substrate using a downward force of at least one compacting roller on the die and the upper surface of the substrate to increase a bonded area between the die and the upper surface of the substrate, and annealing the die and the substrate. The compacting roller has a soft surface layer that engages with the die and the upper surface of the substrate. The soft surface layer has a Shore hardness of greater than approximately 30 and less than approximately 80. In some embodiments, the substrate and/or the compacting roller may rotate during contact with each other.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides oral drug dosage forms comprising: (a) an erodible non-stimulant material admixed with an ADHD non-stimulant; and (b) an erodible stimulant material admixed with an ADHD stimulant, wherein the erodible non-stimulant material admixed with the ADHD non-stimulant is embedded in a substrate material, and wherein upon exposure to gastrointestinal fluid the ADHD non-stimulant is released according to a desired non-stimulant release profile and the ADHD stimulant is released according to a desired stimulant release profile. In some embodiment, the ADHD non-stimulant is released according to a sustained release profile. In some embodiments, the ADHD stimulant is released according to an immediate release profile. The oral drug dosage forms of the present disclosure are useful for the treatment of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Also provided herein are methods of designing and manufacturing the oral drug dosage forms described herein.

    Abstract: A method and a device for preparing graphene and hydrogen gas by converting waste plastics with Joule heat are provided according to the present application. The method uses the Joule heat generated when a strong current passes through the mixed plastic material mixed with conductive additive, as the reaction driving energy. By Joule heating, carbon-carbon bonds and carbon-hydrogen bonds are broken, amorphous carbon is converted into sp2 hybridized high-purity graphene, and hydrogen atoms are converted into hydrogen gas. The reaction device used by the method is mainly composed of three parts: an airtight reaction chamber, a gas collecting system and a power control system.

    Abstract: Targeted disruption of a specific gene and its subsequent restoration in obligate intracellular bacteria remains extremely challenging due to their absolute requirement for residence inside a host cell to replicate. Here, targeted allelic exchange mutations were created to inactivate two genes and then to restore one of the two genes of a rickettsial pathogen, Ehrlichia chaffeensis. These methods were then also successfully utilized in Ehrlichia canis and Anaplasma phagocyophilum. The resultant mutated pathogens are useful in immunogenic compositions for reducing the incidence of or severity of infection with ricksettsial pathogens.

The influence of voltage sag on a whole industrial process of a sensitive user is analyzed, and the sensitive loads of SSTS and DVR which satisfy a governance need are grouped; a practical governance scenario of installing a plurality of DVR is considered to install a minimum-capacity DVR to realize a target of a minimum interruption probability of the whole industrial process of the user; an optimal coordinated governance solution of SSTS and DVR based on sensitive load grouping is proposed; a classification result is obtained for duration time at a time when a voltage sag event occurs through a decision tree constructed based on historical data.
