  • Patent number: 11792675
Abstract: Aspects are provided allowing a first base station to distinguish between cross-link interference and remote interference caused to a second base station and to apply different mitigation mechanisms based on the type of interference. A UE receives from a second base station a reference signal based on a reference signal identifier that indicates a location of the second base station that is experiencing interference from the first base station. The UE sends to the first base station an indication of the reference signal received from the second base station. The first base station receives from the UE the indication of the reference signal from the second base station based on the reference signal identifier. The first base station applies a mitigation mechanism based on whether the reference signal identifier indicates that the second base station is a remote base station or a neighbor base station.

  • Publication number: 20230269286
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and devices for wireless communication including an apparatus, e.g., a UE and/or one or more networks. In one aspect, the apparatus receives an MBMS video streaming service through broadcast from a first network. In addition, the apparatus determines a failure in association with the reception of the broadcasted MBMS video streaming service. Further, the apparatus receives, based on the determined failure of the broadcasted MBMS video streaming service, the MBMS video streaming service through unicast from a second network. In one configuration, the apparatus transmits information to the second network indicating that the MBMS video streaming service through broadcast from the first network has failed. In such a configuration, the MBMS video streaming service through unicast from the second network is received based on the transmitted information.

  • Publication number: 20230232384
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify a beam used for communicating with a network entity, the beam associated with multiple bandwidth parts (BWPs) including a reference BWP with a first frequency. • Publication number: 20230232393
Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to receiving uplink carrier aggregation transmit chain switch scheduling. A UE may be configured for both inter-band and intra-band CA. When the UE receives uplink scheduling information for UL CA, the UE may analyze multiple component carriers in a frequency band, instead of just one component carrier per frequency band. The UE may derive antenna port configurations from the scheduling information, and map the antenna port configurations to an RF chain case. The RF chain case identifies an RF chain allocation configuration. Once mapped, the UE may determine whether an uplink RF chain switch should occur to accommodate the new RF chain allocation configuration. If different from the current RF chain allocation configuration, the switch is made. Further, the UE may add uplink transmission preparation time in response to the analysis and change if necessary.

  • Publication number: 20230171764
Abstract: A base station (BS) may determine (estimate) a preparation time for at least one uplink (UL) transmission by a user equipment (UE) on at least one radio frequency (RF) carrier. The BS may determine the preparation time so that the BS will send a grant for the at least one transmission to the UE a sufficient amount of time (based on the estimated preparation time) before the at least one transmission is scheduled to occur to enable the UE to conduct the at least one UL transmission on a selected one of the RF carriers or on both RF carriers. The BS may select the longest preparation time from the preparation times of different RF carriers. The BS may select the subcarrier spacing (SCS) index from the SCS indexes for different RF carriers that provides a longer preparation time. The BS may add a defined value to a preparation time.

  • Publication number: 20230155872
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems (e.g., non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) systems), a base station may serve a large number of user equipments (UEs) on the uplink. To improve detectability for these uplink transmissions (e.g., if reference signals are not available for the transmissions), the UEs may implement parallel transmissions of preambles with uplink data. A UE may split the uplink data into one or more data layers, and may select one or more preamble layers to transmit superposed with the data layers. These preambles may be sequences known to both the UE and the base station to aid in detectability. The UE may assign different signature sequences to each of these layers based on cross-correlation values (e.g., assigning sequences with higher cross-correlation values to the data layers for improved detectability), and may scramble the layers into a single shared signal for transmission.
