    Abstract: According to one aspect of the invention, provided is a solid state imaging device having a pixel including a photoelectric conversion portion provided in a semiconductor substrate. The photoelectric conversion portion includes first and second charge accumulation region of a first conductivity type provided at a first depth of the semiconductor substrate and spaced apart from each other by a first gap, and first and second semiconductor region of a second conductivity type provided at a second depth located under the first depth of the semiconductor substrate and extend over the first charge accumulation region, the first gap, and the second charge accumulation region in a planar view. At the second depth, an impurity concentration of the second conductivity type in a region under the first gap is higher than an impurity concentration of the second conductivity type in a region under the first and second charge accumulation regions.

    Abstract: By using an offset parabolic concave mirror as a concave mirror, and arranging a lens having an entrance pupil at the geometric focal point of the offset parabolic concave mirror, a group of rays incident parallel to the optical axis of the offset parabolic concave mirror become chief rays which are telecentric with respect to an object plane orthogonal to the optical axis of the offset parabolic concave mirror, and diverging light from each object point on the object plane can be detected on a quadric image plane formed by the lens at the focal point of the offset parabolic concave mirror without blind spots. An image of the target object is detected after the beams reflected by the offset parabolic concave mirror are bent by the reflecting mirrors and made incident on the lens to reduce the size and cost of the device.

    Abstract: A method comprises: annealing a steel sheet by conveying the steel sheet through a heating zone, a soaking zone, and a cooling zone in the stated order in an annealing furnace; and then applying a hot-dip galvanized coating onto the steel sheet discharged from the cooling zone. Reducing or non-oxidizing humidified gas and reducing or non-oxidizing dry gas are supplied into the soaking zone. A CO gas concentration is measured using a CO gas concentration meter provided in an exhaust portion for gas in the soaking zone. A decarburized layer thickness of the steel sheet is calculated from the measured CO gas concentration. At least one of a flow rate and a dew point of the humidified gas is controlled so that the calculated decarburized layer thickness is less than or equal to a predetermined thickness.
