  • Patent number: 7609990
Abstract: A first rotary image carrier is adapted to support a toner image obtained by developing an electrostatic latent image formed thereon. A second rotary image carrier is adapted to support, on a toner supporting face thereof, the toner image which has been primarily transferred from the first rotary image carrier and is to be secondarily transferred onto a recording medium. A cleaner housing has wall members defining a housing space, a first one of which is formed with a first ventilation hole. A blade member is disposed in the housing space and configured to separatably come in contact with the second rotary image carrier to scrape off toner remaining thereon. A sealing member is disposed in the housing space and configured to separatably come in contact with the second rotary image carrier to form a closed space together with the blade member.

  • Patent number: 7576739
Abstract: An area, in a virtual game world, for arranging a plurality of objects and a minimum allowed distance between objects to be arranged therein are set. A position of an object is changed for temporarily arranging the object to an arbitrary position in the area set in the virtual game world until arrangement of the object is finalized, and the distance between the temporarily arranged object and an object whose arrangement in the area is completed is calculated. When the calculated distance is equal to or greater than the minimum allowed distance, arrangement of the temporarily arranged object is finalized and a plurality of objects whose arrangement is finalized are displayed on a display screen.

  • Patent number: 7536126
Abstract: A test pattern P3 longer than a length Ld corresponding to a circumferential length of a developing roller is formed along a moving direction of a photosensitive member (or developing roller). The developing roller transports a great quantity of toner on its surface in a first revolution thereof and hence, the test pattern has a high density. When the residual toner runs low, the toner transport quantity is decreased in the subsequent revolution, so that the test pattern P3 is decreased in the density at its portion beyond the length Ld from its head. If a density difference is observed at place corresponding to a boundary between image portions formed in the first revolution and the second revolution, it is concluded that image quality is degraded due to the shortage of residual toner.

  • Patent number: 7529428
Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes a CPU and an imaging unit. In this image processing apparatus, an image captured by the imaging unit is displayed on an LCD together with an imaging index, indicative of a predetermined region of a face. In response to a shutter operation by an operator, a portion, matching with a position of the imaging index, is extracted from the image data as a region image. Furthermore, in response to a shutter operation, another image captured by the imaging unit is stored as a still image. Then the region image and the still image are composed with each other to display a composite image, obtained by pasting the image of the predetermined region of the face on to another image. In addition, with respect to the composite image, the region image is deformed according to a feature of the data from the imaging unit, an elapsed time without an operation input, and so on.

  • Publication number: 20090017909
Abstract: The game apparatus shoots a moving object from a predetermined weapon object and moves the moving object in a three-dimensional space in a case where an input from an input device is received. At least one of the size, the shape, and the number of a contact determination area defined for the moving object is changed in accordance with a distance over which the moving object moves in the three-dimensional space. The game apparatus determines whether or not the contact determination area defined for the moving object contacts a contact determination area defined for a target object. A predetermined game process is performed when the determination result of a contact determination step is positive.

  • Patent number: 7474103
Abstract: At least one of continuous disconnection, intermittent disconnection, and temporary disconnection, of wireless communication between the input device and the game apparatus is detected. Remaining battery amount data representing a remaining battery amount of the input device is obtained via the wireless communication. It is determined that the power of the input device is insufficient based on that the wireless communication is detected to be disconnected and that the obtained remaining battery amount data represents a remaining battery amount of a predetermined level or lower.
