  • Patent number: 8018897
Abstract: A method for communication includes providing a first transceiver configured to communicate with a second transceiver over a bi-directional link having a first aggregation of frequencies that are assigned to carry first communication traffic in a first link direction from the first transceiver to the second transceiver and a second aggregation of frequencies that are assigned to carry second communication traffic in a second link direction from the second transceiver to the first transceiver. Communication feedback is transmitted from the first transceiver to the second transceiver communication feedback at an adaptive feedback rate. The feedback rate is determined so as to achieve a desired balance between the information carrying capacities of the first and second aggregations. An information carrying capacity of the second aggregation is controlled responsively to the communication feedback.

  • Publication number: 20100267341
Abstract: A method for communication includes receiving at a receiver from a group of two or more transmitters multiple Radio Frequency (RF) transmission beams that alternate in time and space and include at least first and second transmission beams. The method identifies that the first transmission beam causes interference to reception of the second transmission beam. Feedback is sent from the receiver to one or more of the transmitters, so as to cause the transmitters to attenuate the first transmission beam during transmission of the second transmission beam.

  • Publication number: 20100172424
Abstract: A method for communication includes, in a transmitter having a first number of transmit antenna ports, setting an upper limit on a second number of spatial layers to be used by the transmitter to be less than the first number. An actual number of the spatial layers, which does not exceed the upper limit, is allocated for transmission to a given receiver. One or more streams of modulated symbols are mapped onto the allocated actual number of the spatial layers. The actual number of the spatial layers are transmitted from the transmitter to the given receiver.

  • Publication number: 20080158032
Abstract: A system comprising includes a clock generator module, an analog-to-digital converter (ADC), and a correction module. The clock generator module receives a system clock and generates a digital clock that is derived from the system clock, wherein the digital clock has an average frequency. The clock generator module generates a deviation indication that indicates a deviation of the digital clock from an ideal clock of the average frequency. The ADC receives an analog signal, receives the digital clock, and generates a first stream of values by sampling the analog signal at intervals based on the digital clock. The correction module receives the first stream of values and generates a second stream of values that are corrected based on the deviation indication.
