One method includes forming a communication group of one or more portable communications devices based on a first object of interest and identifying a second object of interest based on the first object of interest. The method also includes determining whether an image feed includes the second object of interest and when the image feed includes the second object of interest, adding a portable communications device associated with the image feed to the communication group.

Abstract: Techniques disclosed herein provide an approach for automatically importing graphical topologies and deploying the same. In one embodiment, a topology importer tool uses a trained machine learning model to detect and classify objects in an image depicting a topology. The topology importer distinguishes between software (or hardware) components in the detected objects and properties of those components. In particular, the topology importer may determine a property is associated with a component based on an overlap between objects representing the property and the component, a distance between the objects representing the property and the component, or a learned model. The topology importer determines relationships between components in a similar manner, as well as based on detected links represented by objects between components indicating those components are connected. The topology importer further converts the topology to a format understood by an application which may then deploy the topology.

The control signal extraction unit extracts first control signals respectively transmitted from the plurality of second units. The signal switching unit includes a switching circuit, and selects any one of the first control signals respectively received through individual signal transmission lines. The controller receives the first control signal selected by the signal switching unit, determines an allocation ID to be allocated to a second unit corresponding to the selected first control signal based on the initial identification information of the selected first control signal, and controls the determined allocation ID to be transmitted to the corresponding second unit.

The method for performing intra-prediction includes the steps of: determining whether or not to apply a first filter for a reference pixel value on the basis of information of a neighboring block of a current block; applying the first filter for the reference pixel value when it is determined to apply the first filter; performing intra-prediction on the current block on the basis of the reference pixel value; determining whether or not to apply a second filter for a prediction value according to each prediction mode of the current block, which is predicted by the intra-prediction performance on the basis of the information of the neighboring block; and applying the second filter for the prediction value according to each prediction mode of the current block when it is determined to apply the second filter.

In accordance with the present disclosure, first, inductive sensing is periodically performed to detect a specific object with inductive heating property. Next, current sensing of the specific object having the inductive heating property is performed to again check whether the specific object has the inductive heating property. Thus, when the user simply places the loaded object on the device, the device may allow the user to quickly and intuitively confirm whether the corresponding loaded object has the inductive heating property.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is an intra prediction method including: deriving neighbor prediction mode information from a left neighbor prediction mode and an upper neighbor prediction mode; deriving an intra prediction mode for a decoding target unit by using the derived neighbor prediction mode information; and performing intra prediction on the decoding target unit based on the intra prediction mode. According to exemplary embodiments of the present invention, image encoding/decoding efficiency can be improved.

Abstract: Provided is a composite containing bio-active material stably combined with a rare-earth hydroxide compound having a layered structure. The bio-active materials in the composite are preserved in terms of long-term stability at high temperature of 50° C. or above and the composite maintained in the neutral pH condition to minimize side effects like latent toxicity, irritations, etc. Further, the present invention is useful for a skin-whitening, anti-wrinkle, or anti-aging cosmetic composition containing the composite.

Abstract: A power tool with an energy recovery function including a casing, a brushless motor located within the casing, a battery pack connected to the casing, and a switching circuit. The brushless motor is used for driving a working part. The battery pack is connected to the brushless motor via the switching circuit. The switching circuit is configured to allow a first part of the braking energy from the brushless motor to be recovered to the battery pack by controlling on/off of the switching circuit when the brushless motor tends to be stopped during rotation. When the controller of the power tool detects a need to decelerate/stop the motor, the service time of the battery is prolonged by recharging a part of the energy back to the battery through controlling the circuit dynamic and adjusting the on/off duty cycle of the circuit.

Abstract: The invention resides in a pattern laser comprising a plurality of laser devices each emitting a treatment laser beam into an optical fibre of an optical fibre bundle. An optical coupling module is associated with each laser device and each optical fibre for coupling a treatment laser beam into the associated optical fibre. A controller controls the operation of the laser devices by selectively turning on or off one or more of the laser devices so as to form a laser treatment pattern at an end of the fibre bundle away from the laser devices. A delivery system images the output from the fibre bundle to a treatment zone.

Abstract: Improvements in speaker identification and verification are provided via an attention model for speaker recognition and the end-to-end training thereof. A speaker discriminative convolutional neural network (CNN) is used to directly extract frame-level speaker features that are weighted and combined to form an utterance-level speaker recognition vector via the attention model. The CNN and attention model are join-optimized via an end-to-end training algorithm that imitates the speaker recognition process and uses the most-similar utterances from imposters for each speaker.

A plug-integrated adaptor includes a case body having an open side and a printed circuit board therein, a case base provided to cover the open side of the case body and including a first side extending in a first direction and a second side having a length shorter than a length of the first side, a plug having a pair of pins arranged in a second direction and a plug case protruding from the case base and extending in the second direction, and a connecting member coupled to the pin of the plug and connecting the plug to the printed circuit board. The plug case extending in the second direction is inclined at an angle with a range of 0 to 45 degrees with respect to the case base extending in the first direction.

Abstract: An interface circuit in an electronic device (such as an access point) may provide a wake-up beacon to a recipient electronic device. During operation, the interface circuit may provide a wake-up beacon associated with a predefined sub-channel in one or more channels in a band of frequencies, where the wake-up beacon is for a wake-up radio in the recipient electronic device. Moreover, the wake-up beacon may be provided within an associated time interval, such as a keep-alive interval of the electronic device. In some embodiments, the wake-up beacon includes a field with channel information that specifies one or more second channels used by a main radio in the recipient electronic device. Alternatively or additionally, the wake-up beacon may include a field with service information that specifies one or more types of services and/or a field with information specifying a transmit power of the interface circuit.
