Abstract: A method for separate control of heating, ventilation, or air conditioning (HVAC) for a vehicle includes: determining if a set condition is satisfied, such that separate HVAC control is possible, when HVAC is performed; detecting a passenger count, an HVAC thermal load, and a relative humidity; performing HVAC in a first mode for front seats when no passenger is detected in the front passenger seat at the detecting step; selectively performing HVAC in a second mode for the front seats by comparing the HVAC thermal load with a set load; and adjusting a mixing ratio between inside and outside air, set depending on the relative humidity, by selectively reducing or increasing a quantity of inside air and a quantity of outside air depending on the passenger count.

Abstract: An aerosol generating device according to an embodiment includes a heater configured to heat a cigarette, a temperature sensor configured to measure temperature of the heater, and a controller configured to determine a humidity state of the cigarette by calculating a temperature increase time of the cigarette by using the temperature sensor and by comparing the calculated temperature increase time of the cigarette with a preset threshold. The controller supplies power to the heater according to a basic temperature profile when the temperature increase time is less than the threshold, and supplies power to the heater according to a first correction profile when the temperature increase time is greater than or equal to the threshold.

The present invention provides a carrier for enhancing transdermal absorption that enhances or promotes chemical bonding with skin tissue by modifying the surface of lipid nanoparticles with a polyphenol. This may demonstrate the synergistic effect of active and passive transdermal delivery systems.

Abstract: Compounds and compositions for determining the level of antithrombin (ATIII) in a sample are described along with a system for determining the level of ATIII in a point-of-care setting. Methods of forming the compounds and compositions are also described. Methods of using the compounds and compositions to quantify the level of ATIII in a subject are further described. A system and apparatus are provided that determine the level of ATIII in a point-of-care setting in an efficient manner to facilitate determining a dosage or heparin or ATIII to administer to a patient.

In the segmented stator core of the present disclosure, since the coil inside the slot having a temperature higher than that of the end coil is cooled, the risk of damaging the insulating portion may be reduced, and since both the end coil and the coil inside the slot may be cooled, a load is small even if a high current is applied, and thus, the power may be increased in the same motor size or the motor size based on the same power may be reduced.

The active noise control method for a vehicle includes performing active noise control (ANC) to reduce noise introduced from the outside of the vehicle to the inside of the vehicle and received through a microphone, determining whether a level of residual noise of the noise reduced by the ANC is greater than a threshold value, and performing secondary path model re-measurement when an engine of the vehicle is turned off if the level of the residual noise is greater than the threshold value.

The method of the present disclosure includes: retaining an abnormal static target vehicle in a traffic surveillance video in a background through background modeling; performing abnormal target detection, and obtaining a cropped picture of an abnormal target vehicle and a cropped video clip through cropping; performing anomaly start time estimation, inputting the cropped picture and the cropped video clip to a network model combining twin cross-correlation with pseudo three-dimensional (P3D)-Attention, labeling a classification label on the cropped video clip, and determining a video frame when abnormal behavior occurs; and determining whether a to-be-matched vehicle is an abnormal target vehicle, and determining a start time and an end time of abnormal traffic behavior with reference to the video frame that is obtained when the abnormal behavior occurs.
