Abstract: Disclosed herein is a multi-cantilever MEMS sensor functioning as a mechanical sensor having a plurality of cantilevers, replacing a conventional DSP based sound source localization algorithm and reducing production cost when the MEMES sensor applied to mass-produced robots, a manufacturing method thereof, a sound source localization apparatus using the multi-cantilever MEMS sensor and a sound source localization method using the sound source localization apparatus.

Abstract: Disclosed are an air purification system for a vehicle and an air purification method thereof. When an air purifier is tuned on, an aroma is discharged, and, if an air conditioner is turned on, discharge of the aroma is stopped and a deodorant is discharged for a predetermined time period. If discharge of the deodorant is stopped, the aroma is discharged again, and if the air conditioner is turned off, discharge of the aroma is stopped and the deodorant is discharged for a preset time period. If discharge of the deodorant is stopped, the aroma is discharged again.

Abstract: A backlight unit that can perform local dimming, and has a structure for preventing light leakage and a cooling structure, and an image display apparatus employing the backlight unit. A motor and a fan are provided in the housing, the fan being operated by the motor. A filter is provided in the housing near an inlet of the fan. An aromatic-substance-containing case is provided in the housing near the fan. An aromatic substance is stored in the case, and the case is opened when the fan operates. A pollution sensor and a control unit are also provided in the housing. The control unit receives a signal from the pollution sensor, and controls the fan and the case.

Abstract: A method of managing the storage of a broadcast program in a television receiver having a personal video recorder enables a more efficient use of the storage capacity of a personal video recorder (PVR) provided to the television receiver. The method includes steps of registering the stored broadcast program for automatic storage updating; extracting information for a newly received broadcast program; first determining whether the stored broadcast program is a broadcast program of a category corresponding to the newly received broadcast program, by comparing the extracted information to information of the stored broadcast program; and recording the newly received broadcast program in the personal video recorder according to the first determining and a second determination of whether a storage deletion condition is met for the stored broadcast program.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an indirubin derivative having anticancer property by inhibiting cell proliferation as to human cancer cell line. More particularly, this invention provides the synthesis of indirubin derivative known as CDK(Cyclin-dependent kinase) inhibitor. Further, inhibition activity of proliferation as to human cancer cell line and apoptosis against induced-differentiation of said indirubin derivative are researched to develop a novel indirubin derivative having efficacious anticancer properties as to various human cell lines.

According to the present invention, the solid wire treated with a specific liquid surface treatment agent exhibited superior rust resistance and wire feedability to those of conventional solid wires.

The washing machine includes a housing having one open side and partitioned into a plurality of compartments; cabinets which can be drawn out forward through the open side of the housing, each of the cabinets being positioned in each of the compartments; washing baths for washing the laundry, each of the washing baths being positioned within each of the cabinets; and locking mechanism provided between the housing and the cabinets for restraining the cabinet from being drawn out forward from the housing. The cabinets are automatically drawn out by only operating a switch installed in an outside wall of the housing.
