Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method, device and system for carrying out a service in a network. The control apparatus comprises: an orchestrator unit, configured to receive a service request for requesting to carry out a service, wherein the service request comprises service deployment information for requesting to deploy a first service, service flow identification information for identifying a first packet flow and service flow steering information; and a control unit, configured to send the service deployment information to a computing apparatus, and send the service flow identification information and the service flow steering information to an identifying and steering apparatus. Technical solutions of the present invention provide a new service mode, which can meet developing needs of OTT applications.

Abstract: A status value used to identify a topology status of service nodes at a specified time is preconfigured for a packet in a packet flow, so that when a service node in a next hop is selected for the packet, selection is performed not based on a topology status of current actual service nodes in the next hop, but based on the topology status, which is identified by the status value, of the service nodes at the specified time. As long as status values carried in packets in a same packet flow are the same, even if a topology status of service nodes changes, a same service node can still be selected for the packets in the same packet flow, thereby avoiding a problem of diversion of the packets in the same packet flow.

The method includes receiving, at a mobile communication device, one or more facility identifiers, each of the one or more facility identifiers associated with a facility. The method further includes storing the one or more facility identifiers in a memory; decoding, via an electronic processor, a group call having an initiation identifier; and comparing, via the electronic processor, the initiation identifier to the one or more facility identifiers. The method further includes joining, via the electronic processor, the group call based on the comparison between the initiation identifier and the one or more facility identifiers. The method may further include leaving, via the electronic processor, the group call.

The method includes holding a first and a second fiber respectively by a first and a second rotary clamp; aligning axes of the first and second fibers to a common reference; moving the first and second fibers that are being held by the first and second rotary clamps onto a splicing machine; and causing the first and second fibers being spliced together by the splicing machine.
