Abstract: An earphone device used to be engaged with an earphone jack of a portable terminal including an earphone plug. The earphone includes two sections, a power supply and a switch coupled with the power supply. A first end of the power supply is coupled with one of the two sections, and a second opposite end of the power supply coupled with another of the two sections. The earphone device is used to send a first electronic signal to the portable terminal when the switch is switched on and send a second electronic signal to the portable terminal when the switch is switched off, which allows the portable terminal to start one of at least two operation modes of the earphone. The disclosure further offers an electronic device assembly with the portable terminal and the earphone device and a control method of the electronic device assembly.

Abstract: A printer includes a data receiving unit, a print mechanism, a print controlling module and a power management module. The data receiving unit is capable of receiving a file from a client. The print mechanism is used for printing out the file into hard copy. The print controlling module is connected to the print mechanism for processing the file. The power management module is capable of detecting activity of the data receiving unit and supplying power to the printing controlling module and the print mechanism. When no file is received by the data receiving unit for a predetermined time, the power management module is capable of cutting off the power to print management module and the print mechanism.

Abstract: A system for processing image files includes a palette module, an image file disposal module, and an image file rebuild module. The palette module defines a plurality of colors. The image file disposal module processes a RGB image, and acquiring RGB values of all pixels of the RGB image. The image file rebuild module converts the RGB image to a new image displayed by the plurality of colors defined by the palette module.

Abstract: A printer system includes a server capable of communicating with a printer and a client. The server stores a plurality of theme templates for making three-dimensional paper crafts. Each theme template has a plurality of marks to provide indication to make the paper craft. The marks comprise a series of sequence numbers to fold the theme templates according to the sequence numbers, and an angle number to indicate a folding angle. The server accepts edited templates from the client and sends an instruction to the printer to print the edited templates.

Abstract: A method for detecting blemishes in a RGB image captured by an electronic device includes following steps. The image is read from the electronic device. A center point of the image is defined. Pixels of radials radiating from the center point of the image are detected for detecting blemishes in the image. Blemishes in the image are counted. A total blemish number is compared with a maximum tolerable blemish number. If the total blemish number in the image exceeds the maximum tolerable blemish number, displaying test failure; and if the total blemish number in the image does not exceeds the maximum tolerable number, displaying test pass. A blemish detection system associated with the method is also disclosed.

Abstract: A printing method for printing a file stored in an e-book connecting the e-book and a printer to a network, where the e-book sends a message to find the printer. The printer responds to the broadcasting message to establish connection between the e-book and the printer. The method further includes sending a printing request to the printer by the e-book, and determining whether the file is a format which the printer can directly print. If the file is not a format can be identified by the printer, the e-book decodes the file to a format can be identified by the printer, and uploads to the printer. Then, the printer prints the decoded file.

Abstract: A system and method are used for sending and receiving email. The system includes a gateway. The gateway communicates with the mobile phone via a wireless network capable of receiving a short message sent from a mobile phone. The gateway is connected to a mail server which has a plurality of mailboxes via a network. The gateway is capable of communicating between the mobile phone and the mail server in such a manner that the gateway converts the short message to an email, and sends the email to a receiver's mailbox in the mail server whose address is included in the short message, and the gateway converts the emails of the mailboxes of the mail server to short messages, and sends the short messages to the corresponding mobile phones.

Abstract: A voice control system includes an acoustic sensor, and a digital photo frame. The acoustic sensor is configured to receive a voice signal, and transform the voice signal to an electronic signal. The digital photo frame includes a transforming module, an instruction module, and a comparing module. The transforming module receives the electronic signal sent from the acoustic sensor and transforms the electronic signal to a transformed electronic code. The instruction module defines a plurality of predetermined electronic codes for performing predetermined functions of the digital photo frame. The comparing module compares the transformed electronic code with the predetermined electronic codes. If the transformed electronic code matches one of the predetermined electronic codes, the digital photo frame performs a function of the predetermined functions associated with the matched predetermined electronic code. A method for operating the digital photo frame is also provided.

The taking module is capable of taking the electronic device driver program from the first storage unit if the electronic device driver program information is newer than the first storage unit driver program information.

Abstract: A printing system includes a printer and a portable wireless device coupled to the printer. The printer includes a wireless communication interface. The portable wireless device includes another wireless communication interface coupled to the wireless communication interface of the printer via a wireless link, an edit function module for providing an edit function to edit the electronic image, and a print function module capable of sending a printing request to the printer for printing the image. A printing method executable by the printing system is also disclosed.

Abstract: A method for determining the positions of contacts through a global positioning system (GPS) is disclosed. The method includes sending position requests to the contacts, feeding back the current position information of the contacts to a GPS receiver of a user after receiving position requests, searching the contacts located within a same geographical region as the user according to the feedback information and displaying a list of the contacts to the user in the same geographical region.

The detection module is capable of detecting whether there is a printer driver program for an attached printer stored in the computer after the receiving module receives the instructions. The installing module is capable of installing the printer driver program stored by the program module onto the computer if the proper printer driver program is not detected in the computer by the detection module.

Abstract: A method of sending an electronic greeting card from a digital photo frame (DPF) is disclosed. The method includes selecting at least one stored electronic greeting phrase from a template module of the DPF to the electronic greeting card. The DPF sends the greeting card as an email to a mail server through Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP). The DPF stores the electronic greeting card in a mail box of the mail server according to the destination address. The electronic greeting card is received from the mail box through Post Office Protocol (POP).

Abstract: A system for Internet communication by mobile phone includes a server and a gateway. The gateway is connected to a mobile phone via a wireless network, and connected to the server via Internet. The gateway allows login to the server according to access authorization information transmitted by the mobile phone, and transmits messages from the mobile phone to Internet users displayed on the mobile phone via the server when the user successfully logs onto the server. The gateway receives messages from Internet users via the server, and transmits messages from Internet users to the mobile phone.
