    Abstract: A dishwasher is provided such that an impurity-collecting filter collecting impurities is detachably mounted to a front of a cabinet, thus allowing the impurity-collecting filter to be easily cleaned, and keeping a bottom of a washing tub cleaner. The dishwasher includes a cabinet, the washing tub provided in the cabinet, a water container installed under the washing tub collecting wash water, and the impurity-collecting filter provided in the water container collecting the impurities contained in the wash water. The impurity-collecting filter is removably mounted in the water container through an external surface of the cabinet at a position around the water container.

    Abstract: A dishwasher includes a casing arranged within the dishwasher, an odor eliminating material installed within the casing, a shutter which selectively opens a part of the casing to expose the odor eliminating material, and a shutter driving device which operates the shutter. A control unit of the dish washer counts an actual drying time in a drying operation of the dishwasher, and opens the shutter by operating the shutter driving device in response to the counted drying time being equal to or greater than a preset drying time. The odor eliminating material eliminates odors in the dishwasher.

    Abstract: A method for forming a field oxide layer of a highly integrated semiconductor device comprises the steps of depositing a pad oxide layer and a nitride layer over a substrate, removing the nitride layer over a field region, forming spacers on the side walls of the remaining nitride layer, doping an impurity into the field region using the spacers as a mask, thermally oxidizing the substrate exposed in the field region, growing the field oxide layer, and planarizing the upper portion of the field oxide layer by an etchback process, thereby reducing the step coverage problem of the field oxide layer.Therefore, the size of bird's beak and stress can be reduced at the edges of the field region. The heavily doped channel stop layer is formed only in the middle section of the field region, thereby preventing the lowering of the breakdown voltage and punch-through.

    Abstract: A method of manufacturing folded capacitors comprises the steps of: forming a first storage electrode and a first insulating layer; forming a first plate electrode and a second insulating layer thereon and forming a pad poly thereon; limiting the first plate electrode to a predetermined portion; leaving a spacer; forming a second storage electrode; and depositing a third insulating layer and a second plate electrode thereon. It is possible to manufacture a capacitor with a large capacitance and to simplify the manufacturing processes of the capacitor by using the conventional capacitor manufacturing processes. The folded capacitors with a larger capacitance per unit area can be obtained without making the insulating layer be thinned even if the plane area of the capacitor may be reduced remarkably according to a tendency to high integration density.

    Abstract: A sintered material based on silicon nitride for use in preparing cutting tools is provided. This material is prepared by sintering a mixture of silicon nitride containing 2-10 percent by weight of yttrium oxide, 1-5 percent by weight of aluminium oxide and 10-40 percent by weight of titanium carbide coated with titanium nitride under hot pressing or sintering followed by hot isostatic pressing at an elevated temperature ranging from 1600.degree. C. to 1800.degree. C. The coated titanium carbide in the form of powder can be formed by depositing a film of titanium nitride on the surface of titanium carbide in the presence of gaseous titanium tetrachloride, hydrogen and nitrogen under the partial pressure of 0.1 to 0.5 atmosphere at 1000.degree. C. to 1500.degree. C. The material can endow the cutting tools with higher toughness and strength and longer life.
