    Abstract: A method of manufacturing a flat panel display is disclosed. In one aspect, the method includes preparing first and second mother substrates, forming a plurality of display cells on at least one of the mother substrates, forming a plurality of sealant lines enclosing the respective cells on either one of the mother substrates and assembling and sealing the two mother substrates with the sealant lines interposed therebetween. The method also includes mounting the two mother substrates on a stage, irradiating a laser beam to a defined light irradiation region of the mother substrates and cutting the mother substrates while moving the light irradiation region along an imaginary cut line where the mother substrates are to be cut. The light irradiation region includes a linear region and a curved region.

    Abstract: Technology is described for transferring one or more mobile tags using a light based communication protocol. A mobile device, for example a smart phone, with an image sensor and an illuminator, like a camera flash, initiates transfer of data formatted in a mobile tag displayed by another device by automatically controlling the illuminator to generate sequences of light representing data transfer messages. The other device, for example a user wearable computer device with sensors capturing biometric and health related data, has a photodetector unit for capturing the sequences of light and converting them into digital data. A processor of the other device identifies the data transfer messages and causes a display of one or more mobile tags responsive to the messages. In this way, a number of mobile tags may be used to transfer several kilobytes of biometric data, for example 4-7 KBs, using low power for the wearable device.

Glypican-3 is overexpressed in malignant tumors including hepatocellular carcinoma, melanoma, germ cell tumor, etc., and may be targeted in diagnosis and treatment of tumors by labeling the targeting peptide. A diagnosis using the specific peptide may detect even small tumors more accurately than conventional methods. A treatment method using the specific peptide may remove only carcinoma cells without harming other normal tissues.
