    Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus for producing alcohols from olefins, comprising: a hydroformylation reactor wherein aldehydes are produced from olefins; a catalyst/aldehydes separator; a hydrogenation reactor wherein the aldehydes are hydrogenated to produce alcohols; and a distillation column. The hydroformylation reactor is equipped with a distributor plate, which has a broad contact surface for providing sufficient reaction area for reactants such as olefins and synthesis gas, and allows the reaction mixture to circulate and mix sufficiently, which contribute to excellent efficiency in terms of production of aldehydes. In addition, the hydrogenation reactor suppresses sub-reactions to improve the production yield of alcohols.

In one aspect, the method includes preparing first and second mother substrates, forming a plurality of display cells on at least one of the mother substrates, forming a plurality of sealant lines enclosing the respective cells on either one of the mother substrates and assembling and sealing the two mother substrates with the sealant lines interposed therebetween. The method also includes mounting the two mother substrates on a stage, irradiating a laser beam to a defined light irradiation region of the mother substrates and cutting the mother substrates while moving the light irradiation region along an imaginary cut line where the mother substrates are to be cut. The light irradiation region includes a linear region and a curved region.

The first hash information instance is appended to the PMBCM. Error-correcting code words are generated for the plurality of hashes for the plurality of control data blocks for the SMBCM. These error-correcting code words are appended to the control data blocks of the SMBCM. A receiver uses the first hash instance information in the PMBCM to determine if any control data blocks of the SMBCM are corrupt. If so, the error-correcting code words may be used to reconstruct the corrupted hash(es) for the control data block(s) in order to authenticate the remaining control data blocks.
