  • Patent number: 9030485
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for correcting colors of an image projection device are provided. The method includes: acquiring a photographed image by photographing a sample image projected on projection surface; generating input-output color information for n regions, based on color values of a block in the sample image and corresponding color values of the block in the photographed image; selecting one of the n regions of photographed images as a reference region; generating look-up tables (LUTs) for non-reference regions, based on the reference region and the input and output color information; and correcting colors of input images to be projected by the image projection device using the look-up tables, thereby minimizing color difference of the input images on the projection surface for both intra and inter projection device color correction while simplifying the correction procedure.

  • Publication number: 20140007175
Abstract: The invention relates to method for estimating wireless channel status in wireless network, which is to be performed by client device connected to server for transmitting a video packet stream through a wired/wireless network, comprising: a step of estimating a bit error rate using additional information on a received video packet; and a step of estimating the channel capacity of the wireless network using the estimated bit error rate. The server receives, from the client device, feedback on the estimated channel capacity information or channel condition information of the wireless network, and adjusts the optimal video coding rate or the optimal source coding rate in a wireless network. Accordingly, the deterioration in the video quality of the video stream being received in the client device in real-time may be prevented to thereby improve the quality of service (QoS) of the video being received through a wireless network.

  • Publication number: 20130250975
Abstract: A digital broadcasting system provides a method and device for packetizing a video stream. The packetizing device includes: a video frame check block for classifying an encoded video stream according to the frame type; a header setting block for setting a packet header for each of the classified frames; and a packetizing block for packetizing a video frame on the basis of the set packet header. The frame type may be one of an intra-coded (I) frame, a predicted (P) frame, and a bi-predictive (B) frame. Since a digital broadcasting stream is efficiently packetized, overhead due to a typical synchronization packet may be reduced, and accordingly, bandwidth may be efficiently used.

  • Publication number: 20090031021
Abstract: In the conventional content, a minimum access unit of the random access information is one frame unit. In the case of SVC video content, one frame consists of a plurality of scalable layers. The SVC data can be used for each salable layer only when the data is accessible for each scalable layer. The present invention provides a method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving an SVC file for each scalable layer wherein the SVC file can be accessed for each scalable layer by allowing metadata to contain a layer descriptor in a network abstraction layer unit (NALU) or in a byte unit.
