  • Patent number: 8532273
Abstract: A home appliance and a home appliance system are provided. The home appliance may convert product information into an acoustic signal and externally output the same as a sound. The home appliance system may receive the sound, convert the same into the acoustic signal, and then inversely convert the acoustic signal into the product information and read the same. Accordingly, the home appliance may externally output the acoustic signal as the sound so that the user may be easily notified of transmission. Also, the home appliance system may easily transmit the sound to a management device to read the product information because the sound may be transmitted via a communications network.

  • Patent number: 8508093
Abstract: An exemplary heat dissipation fan includes a rotor and a stator. The stator includes a stator core. The rotor is rotatably mounted around the stator. The rotor includes a hub and a magnet ring received in the hub. The hub includes a top wall and a peripheral side wall depending from the top wall. The magnet ring is attached to the side wall and surrounding the stator. The magnet ring has a larger thickness as measured in a radial direction at a first end which is far away from the top wall than a second end which is adjacent to top wall, such that an attracting force formed between the first end of the magnet ring and the stator core is larger than that formed between the second end of the magnet ring and the stator core.

  • Patent number: 8483183
Abstract: Wireless access points detect neighboring wireless access points in different subnets. Upon connecting with a wireless client, a wireless access point determines predictive roaming information for the wireless client. Predictive roaming information identifies the wireless client; its home network subnet; and includes connection information associated with the wireless client. The wireless access point forwards the predictive roaming information associated with a wireless client to neighboring wireless access points while the wireless client is still connected with the wireless access point. Neighboring wireless access points store received predictive roaming information. Upon connecting with a wireless client, a neighboring wireless access point determines if the wireless client matches the stored predictive roaming information.
