Publication number: 20170144037Abstract: Iron-type golf club heads are disclosed having a heel portion, a sole portion, a toe portion, a top-line portion, a front portion, a rear portion, and a striking face. The iron-type golf club heads include a localized stiffened region that is located on the striking face of the club head such that the localized stiffened region alters the launch conditions of golf balls struck by the club head in a way that wholly or partially compensates for, overcomes, or prevents the occurrence of a rightward deviation. In particular, the localized stiffened region is located on the striking face such that a golf ball struck under typical conditions will not impart a right-tending sidespin to the golf ball.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 8, 2017Publication date: May 25, 2017Applicant: Taylor Made Golf Company, Inc.Inventors: Joshua J. Patent number: 9639692Abstract: Dynamic on-device passcode to lock lost device is described. In one method, a security agent executing on a processor of a user device periodically generates a dynamic passcode using a cryptographic function and a cryptographic seed according to a predefined time interval. While the user device is in a first state, the security agent sends the cryptographic seed to an authentication service. The method receives an acknowledgement of receipt of the cryptographic seed from the authentication service and detects that the user device is in a potentially lost or stolen state based on a defined condition of the user device. In response to the detecting that the user device is in the potentially lost or stolen state, the method locks the user device and may unlock the user device when a current instance of the dynamic passcode is correctly entered on the user device.Type: GrantFiled: August 28, 2014Date of Patent: May 2, 2017Assignee: Symantec CorporationInventor: Yong Ling Xue

Publication number: 20160048852Abstract: An apparatus includes a demand module that determines a demand for a product offered from a plurality of suppliers. A pricing module receives cost factors associated with the product to determine a base per unit cost of the product. A quality module receives quality factors associated with the product to determine a per unit quality cost adder. A cost module calculates a procurement cost of the product. A supplier module receives production factors describing a supplier's ability to provide the product. A social module monitors social media for social data describing events related to a supplier's ability to provide the product. A procurement module determines, based on the per unit procurement cost of the product, the production factors, and the social data, a product order allocation for each supplier that fulfills the demand.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 13, 2014Publication date: February 18, 2016Inventors: Yong Ling Beh, Eric T.
