  • Patent number: 11564169
Abstract: An interface circuit in a device, e.g., an access point, may perform link adaptation. During operation, the interface circuit may provide a wake-up frame, e.g., a LP-WUR packet, associated with a channel in a band of frequencies, where the wake-up frame is intended for a wake-up radio in a recipient device. Then, the interface circuit may receive, from the recipient device, feedback information associated with a second channel in a second band of frequencies, where the feedback information is associated with a main radio in the recipient device. Based at least in part on the feedback information, the interface circuit may estimate one or more communication metrics associated with the channel in the band of frequencies. Moreover, based at least in part on the one or more communication metrics, the interface circuit may determine a data rate for use in communication via the channel in the band of frequencies.

  • Patent number: 11558357
Abstract: A host processing device (“host”) instructs a plurality of data processing (DP) accelerators to configure themselves for secure communications. The host generates an adjacency table of each of the plurality of DP accelerators (“DPAs”). The host is communicatively coupled to the plurality of DPAs via a switch. The host transmits, to the switch, a list of the DPAs and instructs the switch to generate an adjacency table of the DPAs that includes a unique identifier of each DPAs and a communication port of the switch associated with the DPA. The host establishes a session key communication with each DPA and sends the DPA a list of other DPAs that the DPA is to establish a session key with, for secure communications between the DPAs. The DPA establishes a different session key for each pair of the plurality of DPAs.

Abstract: A host processing device instructs a plurality of data processing (DP) accelerators to configure themselves for secure communications. The host device generates an adjacency table of each of the plurality of DP accelerators. Then the host device then establishes a session key communication with each DP accelerator and sends the DP accelerator a list of other DP accelerators that the DP accelerator is to establish a session key with, for secure communications between the DP accelerators. The DP accelerator establishes a different session key for each pair of the plurality of DP accelerators. When all DP accelerators have established a session key for communication with other DP accelerators, according to the respective list of other DP accelerators sent by the host device, then the host device can assign work tasks for performance by a plurality of DP accelerators, each communicating over a separately secured communication channel.

  • Publication number: 20230006730
Abstract: A first beam is implemented, from a set of vehicle-based antennas, for current or future communication with a ground-based or satellite-based network via an external antenna (e.g., of a base station or satellite). A second beam may be implemented to detect or determine a better pointing angle for the first beam, thereby “fine tuning” the pointing angle for the first beam. Specifically, the second beam may be “swept” through a range of pointing angles while a signal parameter representing signal quality or strength is measured, detected, or calculated at each pointing angle. The values for the signal parameter may be evaluated to identify a desired value and the pointing angle at which the desired value was obtained. The first beam may be reoriented or repointed at the desired pointing angle, and one or more nodes of vehicle-based communication system may communicate with an external network via the first beam.
