    Abstract: In a method for generating a preamble of a data unit for transmission via a communication channel, an indication of a first number of spatial or space-time streams is included in a first field of the preamble. The first number of spatial or space-time streams corresponds to transmission of the data unit to a first receiver. One or more training sequences are included in a second field of the preamble. The preamble is formatted such that the first field of the preamble will be transmitted prior to the second field of the preamble being transmitted.

    Abstract: A system and method are provided that use pass/fail test results to prioritize electronic design verification review issues. It may prioritize either generated properties or code coverage items or both. Thus issues, whether generated properties or code coverage items, that have never been violated in any passing or failing test may be given highest priority for review, while those that have been violated in a failing test but are always valid in passing tests may be given lower priority. Still further, where end-users have marked one or more properties or code coverage items as already-reviewed, the method will give these already-reviewed issues the lowest priority. As a result, both properties and code coverage items may be generated together in a progressive manner starting earlier in development and significant duplication of effort is avoided.

    Abstract: In a method for generating a physical layer (PHY) data unit for transmission via a communication channel, information bits to be included in the PHY data unit are encoded using a forward error correction (FEC) encoder. Also, the information bits are encoded according to a block coding scheme, where m copies of each bit are included in the information bits, and one or more bits in the m copies of each bit are flipped. The information bits are mapped to a plurality of constellation symbols, and a plurality of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols are generated to include the plurality of constellation symbols. The PHY data unit is generated to include the plurality of OFDM symbols.

A described technique includes transmitting a sounding packet to wireless communication devices; receiving, in response to the sounding packet, feedback packets from the wireless communication devices, wherein the feedback packets are indicative of beamforming matrices, the beamforming matrices being derived from received versions of the sounding packet; determining steering matrices based on the beamforming matrices; generating spatially steered data packets for the wireless communication devices based respectively on the steering matrices and data streams intended respectively for the wireless communication devices; and transmitting, within a frame, the spatially steered data packets to the wireless communications devices, wherein the spatially steered data packets concurrently provide the data streams respectively within the frame to the wireless communication devices via different spatial wireless channels.

The optical indicia reading terminal can be configured to process the frame of image data for decoding decodable indicia.

    Abstract: Embodiments described herein relate to a system and method for providing flexible receiver configuration in wireless communication systems, such as 802.11 WLAN systems. In one embodiment, a wireless device may transmit a first data frame including first configuration information specifying a first configuration of the receiver to notify a remote device that the wireless device intends to configure its receiver according to the first configuration. After receiving an acknowledgement frame confirming the first configuration information, the wireless device may configure the receiver according to the first configuration. In another embodiment, a wireless device may receive a first data frame including first configuration information and further including a request that the wireless device configure its receiver according to the first configuration. In response, the wireless device may configure the receiver according to the first configuration.
