Abstract: A method of generating packets for transmission in a wireless communication system. The method comprises generating a data packet and generating a null data packet. Generating the data packet includes generating a data packet signal (SIG) field including a first data packet SIG subfield indicating a first physical layer (PHY) parameter to a receiving device. Generating the data packet also includes generating a data field. Furthermore, generating the null data packet includes generating a null data packet SIG field. The null data packet SIG field includes a first null data packet SIG subfield indicating a second PHY parameter to a receiving device. The data packet SIG field excludes any SIG subfield indicating the second PHY parameter to a receiving device, and (ii) the null data packet SIG field excludes any SIG subfield indicating the first PHY parameter to a receiving device.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are described including receiving buffer maps of neighbor peers, measuring serving rates from the neighbor peers, measuring serving rates to the neighbor peers, requesting a unit of data from one of the neighbor peers responsive to information in the buffer maps of the neighbor peers at a rate responsive to the serving rate from the one of the neighbor peers, receiving incoming requests for units of data, sorting the incoming requests into a plurality of queues, selecting one of the incoming requests to serve responsive to the serving rates to the neighbor peers corresponding to the incoming request, updating the queues and selecting a new neighbor peer.

Abstract: The present disclosure includes systems and techniques relating to wireless communications. A described technique, for example, includes transmitting a multi-user frame, in a frequency band, that concurrently provides data via spatially steered streams to a group of wireless communication devices; monitoring for acknowledgements, in the frequency band, to respective portions of the multi-user frame; detecting a lack of reception of an expected acknowledgement from a first device of the wireless communication devices; and transmitting, based on the lack of reception of the expected acknowledgement, a signal in the frequency band to prevent a transmission from a wireless communication device that is separate from the group of wireless communication devices, and to control transmission of an acknowledgement from a second device of the wireless communication devices.

The PHY data unit is generated to include the preamble and the PHY header, and the PHY data unit is transmitted.

Abstract: The determination of user perceived delay in audio and video conferencing systems/services is described. Example embodiments consistent with the present invention measure delays in audio and/or video conferencing systems and services, by treating such systems and services as black boxes, thereby providing end-to-end delays as they would be perceived by users. For example, the user perceived round-trip delay in a video conference system/service may include time delays from each of video capture, video encoding, video transmission, video decoding and video rendering.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to communication technologies and discloses a method and terminal of displaying a contact list. The method of displaying a contact list is applied on an apparatus with a touch sensitive display, comprising: detecting a touch on the touch sensitive display, after receiving an instruction for opening a contact list; determining a touch position, when detecting the touch on the touch sensitive display; and determining a large contact group corresponding to the touch position, and displaying contacts in the large contact group by the touch sensitive display. With the present disclosure, a user can find out a contact quickly, and the user's experience can be improved.
