  • Patent number: 6484063
Abstract: The invention involves a system and a method of inspecting a selected part design from an inventory of computer-aided part designs for die compliance as to the part design's geometric characteristics of die lock, draft, and sharp edge. The invention provides for an improvement of inspecting a computer-aided part design in order to lessen insufficient inspections which lead to manufacturing infeasibilities. The invention includes selecting a part design, defining a die open direction, evaluating die lock and draft characteristics of the selected part design, and evaluating sharp edge characteristics of the selected part design.

  • Patent number: 6396521
Abstract: A method for automatically switching windows of different sizes particularly shown in a small display screen of a compact portable personal computer by means of determining a current position of a cursor and a key typed by a user is disclosed. By utilizing this, a larger window switching to a smaller window or vice versa is carried out automatically by the computer, thereby enabling a convenient operation.

  • Publication number: 20020025507
Abstract: “Threedimensional” polymers of very small size can be used in the context of synthesis. These polymers provide simple isolation routes by avoiding the need for workup following the reactions, preworkup characterization, high yield, high capacity and reusability. Of equal importance, these polymers provide a more efficient route to combinatorial synthesis of small molecules. This provides greatly enhanced efficiency for making and screening molecules for physical/biological properties.

  • Patent number: 5916531
Abstract: A spiral fixed-bed module used to provide contact and interaction between a fluid stream and solid particles, comprises a fluid distribution element formed by a pair of laterally coextensive envelope-like fluid communication channels being spirally wound into a cylindrical structure with adjacent layers spaced apart forming spiral loops of spaces of uniform width. The element is then disposed in a cylindrical casing, and immobilized therein by packing solid particles into the spaces between the layers of the spiral channels, and the spaces between external surfaces of the element and inner surfaces of the casing. A fluid stream introduced into a first of the channels will be directed to flow through the solid particle layers via the porous side walls of the distribution channels, and exit from the second channel. The module packed with adsorbent particles provides a thin-bed adsorber, and can use very small adsorbent particles for efficient adsorption without giving rise to high pressure drop.
