Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes establishing a communications session between a first endpoint that displays a shared desktop and a second endpoint that has a display screen, identifying an active region that is part of the shared desktop, and providing an interface on the second endpoint that obtains an input that indicates whether a representation of the active region is to be automatically displayed on the display screen. An input is obtained, and it is determined when the input indicates that the representation is to be automatically displayed on the display screen in response to the input. If the input indicates that the representation is to be automatically displayed on the display screen, the representation is displayed on the display screen. The representation is automatically displayed on the display screen such that substantially only the representation is displayed on the display screen.

The LCD device of the present invention has an improved transmittance and a fast response time.

Abstract: The present invention provides an enriched preparation of cancer stem cells selected by a process that eliminates non-cancer stem cells under extreme culture conditions. The cancer stem cells of the invention are tumorigenic in vivo and form in vitro multilayered 3D-tumors attached to culture plates. The present invention also provides a whole-cell cancer vaccine, which is able to eradicate all cancer cells to make cancer-free mice in a xenograft tumor model. The cancer stem cells of the invention are very useful for basic cancer research, and development of therapeutic and preventive agents for various cancer types.

Abstract: A proteinase therapy has been invented to eliminate solid tumors by destroying tumors' solid structure and killing cancer cells by cleaving vital extracellular matrix proteins C-terminally, N-terminally or both with cell membrane intact and limited adverse effects. The micro-scale intratumoral proteinase K therapy is tumor specific but not cancer type specific. Proteinase K therapy can be operated on multiple tumors on multiple occasions, if necessary. It may be employed to eliminate any solid tumor to prolong a cancer patient's life span.

Abstract: An apparatus for controlling rotational speed of a fan includes a sensor module, a single chip microcomputer (SCM) module, and a driving module. The sensor module collects rotational speed signals of a fan, and converts the rotational speed signals to voltage signals. The SCM module receives the voltage signals from the sensor module and compares the voltage signals with a predetermined rotational speed value stored in the SCM module, and outputs a control signal according to the comparison. The driving module receives the control signal from the SCM module, and outputs a pulse width modulation (PWM) signal to control the rotational speed of the fan.

Abstract: A harmless cancer vaccine is made from cancer cells with extracellular proteins including self-recognition molecular patterns being digested by a proteinase. Some proteinases including trypsin cannot kill cancer cells completely and treated cancer cells need to be further processed in order to be harmless and effective.
