The data dividing unit is for dividing external data to generate multiple-division data. The data sampling unit is for sampling the multiple-division data at a first time and a second time to generate sampling data. The data selecting unit is for selecting one of the data sampled at the first time or the second time from the sampling data in accordance to whether the sampling data is transited to output the selected one as selection data. The data recovery unit is for recovering the selection data to internal data in the same logic level as the logic level of the external data.

At least one of the first and second substrates includes a groove formed around at least a portion of the circumference surrounding the pixel region. When the first and second substrates are pressed together with the sealant between them, the sealant spreads, covering the light-emitting element, and at least partially filling the groove.

    Abstract: A measurement range is extended while maintaining the spatial resolution high by completely separating the increment of a probe light from noises. Modulations are performed on both probe light and pump light to differentiate both lights. Using the modulations, only the change in the probe light necessary for measuring the characteristic of a measurement-target optical fiber FUT can be separated. Accordingly, unlike the conventional technology, an optical wavelength filter becomes unnecessary. Further, in a case where an amplitude ?f of the frequency modulation of a light source 1 is made wide to some extent to make the measurement range wide while maintaining a spatial resolution ?z high, the amplitude ?f does not affect to detection of the change in the probe light. Therefore, the increment of the probe light can be completely separated from noises, thereby extending the measurement range while maintaining the spatial resolution ?z high.

The method comprises the steps of: (i) coating a photocatalytic compound onto a substrate to form a photocatalytic film layer; (ii) coating a water-soluble polymeric compound onto the photocatalytic film layer to form a water-soluble polymer layer; (iii) selectively exposing the two layers to light to form a latent pattern acting as a nucleus for crystal growth; and (iv) plating the latent pattern with a metal to grow metal crystals thereon. According to the method, a multilayer wiring pattern including a low resistivity metal can be formed in a relatively simple manner at low cost, and the metals constituting the respective layers can be freely selected according to the intended application. The low resistivity metal pattern can be advantageously applied to flat panel display devices, e.g., LCDs, PDPs and ELDs.
