    Abstract: Multiple cameras in a conference room, each pointed in a different direction and including a microphone array to perform sound source localization (SSL). The SSL is used in combination with the video image to identify the speaker from among multiple individuals that appear in the video image. Neural network or machine learning processing is performed on the identified speaker to determine the quality of the front or facial view of the speaker. The best view of the speaker's face from the various cameras is selected to be provided to the far end. If no view is satisfactory, a default view is selected and that is provided to the far end. The use of the SSL allows selection of the proper individual from a group of individuals in the conference room, so that only the speaker's head is analyzed for the best facial view and then framed for transmission.

    Abstract: A method for forming a semiconductor device comprises receiving a structure having a substrate, an isolation structure over the substrate, and a fin over the substrate and adjacent to the isolation structure. The method further includes etching a portion of the fin, resulting in a trench, forming a doped material layer over bottom and sidewalls of the trench, and growing at least one epitaxial layer over the doped material layer in the trench. The method further includes recessing the isolation structure and the doped material layer, leaving a first portion of the at least one epitaxial layer surrounded by the doped material layer and performing an annealing process, thereby driving dopants from the doped material layer into the first portion.

    Abstract: The development of a region of interest (ROI) video frame that includes only ROIs of interest and not other elements and providing the ROI video frames in a single video stream simplifies the development of gallery view continuous presence displays. ROI position and size information metadata can be provided or subpicture concepts of the particular codec can be used to separate the ROIs in the ROI video frame. Metadata can provide perspective/distortion correction values, speaker status and any other information desired about the participant or other ROI, such as name. Only a single encoder and a single decoder is needed, simplifying both transmitting and receiving endpoints. Only a single video stream is needed, reducing bandwidth requirements. As each participant can be individually isolated, the participants can be provided in similar sizes and laid out as desired in a continuous presence display that is pleasing to view.

The raised epitaxial LDD region is on the upper portion of the fin, and the raised epitaxial LDD region adjoins a sidewall of the first spacer and is disposed under the second spacer. The raised epitaxial LDD region extends from the upper portion of the fin in at least two laterally opposed directions and a vertical direction.

    Abstract: Resources of an embedded system, such as RAM utilization and available processor cycles or bandwidth are monitored. Neural network models of varying size and computational load for given neural networks are utilized in conjunction with this resource monitoring. The neural network model used for a particular neural network is dynamically varied based on the resource monitoring. In one example, neural network models of varying precision are stored and the best model for the available RAM and processor cycles is loaded. In one example, neural network model weight values are quantized before being loaded for use, the level of quantization being based on the available RAM and processor cycles. This dynamic adaption of the neural network models allows other processes in the embedded system to operate normally and yet allows the neural network to operate at the maximum capability allowed for a given period.

In some embodiment, the annular composite structure comprises an annular nonmetallic layer and an annular metallic layer located outside the annular nonmetallic layer. In some embodiments, the annular metallic layer is electrically insulated from the coaxial cable. In some embodiments, the antenna assembly can be used with a microwave ablation needle. The annular composite structure can inhibit the backward propagation of the microwave along the coaxial cable exterior wall. In some embodiments, circulation water enters the radiation zone, to avoid high temperatures of the head the ablation needle.

    Abstract: Nature is capable of storing solar energy in chemical bonds via photosynthesis through a series of C—C, C—O and C—N bond-forming reactions starting from CO2 and light. Direct capture of solar energy for organic synthesis is a promising approach. Lead (Pb)-halide perovskite solar cells reach 24.2% power conversion efficiency, rendering perovskite a unique type material for solar energy capture. We show that photophysical properties of perovskites is useful in photoredox organic synthesis. Because the key aspects of these two applications are both relying on charge separation and transfer. Here we demonstrated that perovskites nanocrystals are exceptional candidates as photocatalysts for fundamental organic reactions, i.e. C—C, C—N and C—O bond-formations. Stability of CsPbBr3 in organic solvents and ease-of-tuning their bandedges garner perovskite a wider scope of organic substrate activations.
