Abstract: Phenoxyphenyl and phenoxybenzyl oxazolidine-2,4-diones and thiazolidine-2,4-diones of formula (I) are agonists or partial agonists of PPAR gamma and are useful in the treatment and control of hyperglycemia that is symptomatic of type II diabetes, as well as dyslipidemia, hyperlipidemia, hypercholesterolemia, hypertriglyceridemia, and obesity that are often associated with type 2 diabetes.

Abstract: A method for capturing manufacturing data automatically includes the steps of: setting and storing data capturing parameters; initializing a host computer (1) and at least one data communication terminal (3); controlling the at least one data communication terminal to capture the manufacturing data from at least one corresponding workstation (5) according to the data capturing parameters; and receiving and storing the manufacturing data transmitted from the at least one data communication terminal. A system for capturing manufacturing data automatically is also disclosed.

Abstract: This invention described various formula composite of Scutellaria baicalensis for various diseases and conditions. The formula takes the advantage of our recent discovery of Scutellaria baicalensis can inhibit cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) activity and expression, resulting in decrease of prostaglandin synthesis. COX-2 is involved in many biological processes, such as inflammation, pain, carcinogenesis, etc. Combination of Scutellaria baicalensis with lycopene can be used for cancer prevention, especially smoking induced. Combination of Scutellaria baicalensis with glucosamine and chondroitin can be used for arthritis. Finally, this invention disclosed various method to prepare this formula and composition.

Abstract: A high speed optoelectronic subassembly in an optoelectronic package is disclosed that includes a dielectric support having a first electrical trace on a surface thereof and a dielectric member mounted on the surface of the support having a second electrical trace thereon. The support extends laterally a distance greater than the member to form a shelf. A dielectric step is positioned on the shelf abutting an end of the member and a laser is positioned on the shelf adjacent the step so as to be light accessible external to the subassembly. The laser and the step have surfaces equal in height and cooperate to provide a mounting platform. A resistive element is positioned on the mounting platform and electrically connected to the laser, the resistive element and laser being electrically externally accessible through the traces.

Abstract: A superconducting cable with hybrid conductor unit is provided, which includes a cable former, a conductor unit, an adiabatic envelope, a dielectric layer, screening layer and protective encloser characterized in that the hybrid conductor unit is formed from a combination of superconductor layers, normal metal conductor layers, and superconductor-normal metal mixed layers. As compared with a typical superconductor cable having the same power transmission capacity, the hybrid superconductor cable has the following advantages: simplify the fabrication process; reduce the manufacturing cost; enhance the cable's mechanical strength and increase the cable's ability to withstand over flow current and quench. The hybrid superconductor cable lays the foundation for superconductor cable's industrialization.

This short-circuiting pattern is removed at the same time as or after the wiring formation in the source region and the drain region.
