  • Patent number: 5313861
Abstract: The present invention provide a workpiece exchanging system in a CNC lathe having two spindle heads. The workpiece is machined by a spindle head A (S1, S2), a spindle head B is moved toward the spindle head A while loading a servo motor controlling a feed axis for the spindle head B to a torque limit (S3, S4). An error (d) of the feed axis is detected when this movement is completed, and it is determined whether the workpiece is normally clamped by a chuck mounted at a spindle head (S5, S7). The workpiece is machined as it is in accordance with the error of the feed axis (S9), is machined after being moved by a coordinate corresponding to the error (S8), an alarm is displayed, and the CNC is stopped (S10).

  • Patent number: 5162714
Abstract: A numerical control device adapted to control a plurality of transfer machines mounted on a transfer line. The numerical control device is composed of an NC section (13) for controlling the axes of the transfer machines and a PMC section (14) for executing sequence control. • Patent number: 4982335
Abstract: A system for processing an MST function command in a numerical control system including a computerized numerical control apparatus (CNC, 10) and a PMC (programmable machine controller). A strobe signal MF, SF, TF is issued from the computerized numerical control apparatus (10) in an opposite logic state to that of a finish signal MFIN, SFIN, TFIN. The PMC (20) determines that there is a command when the strobe signal is of the opposite logic state to that of the finish signal being issued. When the execution of an MST function is finished, the finish signal is converted to a logic state opposite to that of the strobe signal MF, SF, TF. The computerized numerical control apparatus (10) determines that the processing of the MST function is finished when the logic state of the finish signal becomes identical to that of the strobe signal. When the finish signal and the strobe signal become different from each other as to their logic states, therefore, it can be determined that there is a command.

  • Patent number: 4931709
Abstract: An NC unit processing method executes numerical control processing based on a numerical control program and sequence control processing based on a sequence program at predetermined times on a time-sharing basis. The processing method first stores a location of a sequence program to be executed next in a predetermined storage area in response to a first timer interrupt (IRQ.sub.n+1) generated during execution of the sequence program. Input/output processing based on an input/output program is then executed, followed by numerical control processing based on the numerical control program in response to a second timer interrupt (IRQ.sub.n) generated during execution of the input/output processing. When the numerical control program ends, the execution location of the sequence program is referred to, and sequence program processing is executed from this location until the first timer interrupt (IRQ.sub.n) is once again generated.

  • Patent number: 4908555
Abstract: An axis feedrate output system for CNC equipment which controls the position of a machining table in each axis by effecting feedrate control in accordance with a residual error between a position command and detected positional information in each axis. A current feedrate of the machining table in each axis is derived from the residual error, and a current actual feedrate of the machining table is synthesized using the current feedrate for the respective axes an output which represents the current actual feedrate of the machining table in the form of a ratio to a predetermined maximum feedrate is generated. An error register stores the residual error (servo error) between the position command for each axis from an MPU in the CNC equipment and the positional information detected by a position sensor and provides a feedrate command for effecting feedrate control.

  • Patent number: 4890273
Abstract: A focused light beam is projected upon an optical recording medium through an optical system in an optical pickup, and a light reflected from the recording medium is received to detect a focus error signal and a tracking error signal. • Patent number: 4837757
Abstract: An optical pickup is provided below an optical disk. A laser beam is emitted from a semiconductor laser onto a track, through an objective lens. The objective lens is capable of shifting, and is shifted in the direction of the track width by a magnetic force from a tracking actuator, thereby performing lens tracking. The optical pickup is mounted on a carriage. The carriage is shifted along the radial direction of the optical disk by a voice coil motor. This shifts the laser beam along the radial direction of the optical disk, thereby performing track access. Upon reception of an access command, a velocity control mode commences, and the shift velocity of the carriage is controlled in accordance with a velocity control signal corresponding to the distance between a target track and a current track. When the pickup arrives near the target track, the generation of velocity control signal ceases and the location control mode commences.

  • Patent number: 4761773
Abstract: An optical pickup is arranged under an optical disk. Tracks of the disk are irradiated with a laser beam from the pickup. A beam reflected by a given track becomes incident on the pickup. A tracking error signal from the pickup is supplied to a lens moving actuator through a gain phase compensating circuit and a lens driving circuit, and an objective lens in the pickup is radially moved along disk. The tracking error signal is supplied to a voice coil motor through the phase compensating circuit. A carriage carrying the pickup thereon can be radially moved along the disk. When a tracking instruction is generated, the lens driving circuit drives the objective lens to start tracking. Meanwhile, the low-frequency components of the tracking error signal which are lower than the resonance frequency of the lens tracking circuit are amplified by the gain phase compensating circuit.
