  • Publication number: 20120089964
Abstract: A system and associated method for asynchronous code testing in an Integrated Development Environment (IDE). The IDE has components of a source code editor, an impact analyzer, a test case launcher, a graphical user interface (GUI), and a database. All components run concurrently for asynchronous and real-time code editing. Upon modification of a code block of an input code, a test case is automatically generated and a launching priority is calculated based on the relationship between the modified code block and each code block affected by the modification. Generated test cases are automatically run by the test case launcher or manually selected by the user to produce a test run result.

  • Patent number: 7986323
Abstract: Multiple two dimensional graphs are combined into a single two dimensional graph wherein correlations between dimensions are maintained. Dimensions in the graph can be superimposed on each other and displayed while maintaining the two dimensional format. This enables the two dimensional graph to be converted to three or more dimensions while maintaining the format and presentation in a two dimensional visual display.

  • Patent number: 7983980
Abstract: There is provided a system which enables human-like automatic bidding by combining a plurality of processing functions with a bidding logic of absentee agents for absent participants of an auction system. Absentee agents, present in an auction server, receive price distribution and perform bidding similarly to on-site human participants. Absentee information is given to the absentee agent at the start of an auction, and absentee agents make bids autonomously and in cooperation with one another. In order to perform the human-like bidding, each agent makes a bid by combining (1) bidding possibility determination processing, (2) final bidding determination processing, (3) repeat bidding determination processing, (4) repeat bidding prohibition determination processing, (5) right acquisition bidding determination processing, and (6) character bidding determination processing.

  • Publication number: 20090292981
Abstract: A system for inputting data to a web page that is selectively accessed and displayed through a web browser executing on a computing device includes an electronic scratch pad on the computing device that is configured to identify data entry fields on an accessed web page and to retrieve a label corresponding to any identified data entry field of the web page. The electronic scratch pad records the label and any user input that is input using a user input device to the corresponding data entry field.

  • Publication number: 20080065462
Abstract: A number of potential customers for a product or service are segmented into a number of clusters organized over a number of dimensions by one or more attributes of the potential customers. Each potential customer is segmented into no more than one cluster. No data exists regarding the potential customers as to purchase of the product or service. A number of initial clusters are selected. The success factor of each of these initial clusters is determined. For the initial cluster having the highest success factor, one or more subsequent clusters are selected that are located near this initial cluster. The success factor of each of these subsequent clusters is then determined. For the subsequent cluster having the highest success factor, the potential customers segmented into this cluster are solicited as the most likely customers of the product or service in question.

  • Patent number: 6822711
Abstract: A liquid crystal display apparatus includes a liquid crystal element including a front substrate positioned on the side of an observer and having a first electrode mounted to one surface, a rear substrate having a second electrode arranged to face said first electrode, and a liquid crystal layer interposed between these substrates, said liquid crystal layer controlling the polarized state of the transmitted light in accordance with the electric field applied between the first and the second electrodes. A first reflection polarizing plate is arranged on the front side of the liquid crystal element and reflects the light of one of the two polarized components of the incident light. Two polarized components are perpendicular to each other, and transmit the light of the other polarized component.

  • Publication number: 20020133409
Abstract: An ATM system makes transaction history information for display on an on-screen display section of an ATM, based on transaction history data of a customer's account which is obtained from a host server in response to a request from the ATM when the customer performs a given operation. The information displayed in the on-screen display section contains identification marks which indicate whether each transaction in the transaction history is recorded, unrecorded, or unconfirmed.

  • Patent number: 5372408
Abstract: A brake apparatus for motorcycles with a master cylinder connected directly to a front wheel brake cylinder and connected through pressure control valves to a rear wheel brake cylinder. An adjustment varies the ratios of application of pressures to front and rear brakes through variation in valve spring settings to accommodate variations in load. A sensing system may be employed to determine application of braking force to the front wheel. This system may take the form of a mechanical servo mounting the front brake calipers, a direct pressure application in the master cylinder or a transducer measuring brake pressure to the front wheel. When braking to the front wheel is sensed above a selected threshold, the ratio of brake pressure of the front to rear wheels is reduced. A orifice restriction associated with the pressure control valves reduces sensitivity to variation in braking due to valve action.

  • Patent number: 5363943
Abstract: To prevent local abrasion of a lining of a brake pad when one of a plurality of pistons for pressing the lining against a disk plate is rendered operative, a lining 16b mounted on a back plate 16a of a brake pad 16 is separated into two, and a recessed portion 26 or a gap is formed between the two linings 16b in a corresponding relationship to the position of a central one 21 of three pistons 20, 21 and 22. When the central piston 21 is rendered operative, the operating force of the piston 21 is dispersed to the left and right by the recessed portion 26 or the gap to act upon a disk plate 18, and consequently, local abrasion of the lining 16b is prevented.

  • Patent number: 5219211
Abstract: A primary brake system operated by either one of a hand operated means and a foot operated system is mounted on one of the front and rear wheels, and a secondary brake system operated in response to the operation of the primary brake system is mounted on the other wheel. Consequently, it is possible to provide a braking-force distribution for the front and rear wheels with a predetermined common characteristic, leading to an improved brake feel.
