  • Publication number: 20110140813
Abstract: A normally-closed electromagnetic relay which may be used in controlling a supply of electric current to an automotive engine starter. The electromagnetic relay is equipped with a resistor and a shirt circuit. The short circuit is created by closing of relay contacts when a relay coil is energized to establish an electric connection between ends of the resistor to supply the current from a battery to an electric motor without flowing through the resistor and opened by opening of the relay contacts when the relay coil is deenergized to supply the electric current from the battery to the electric motor through the resistor. If a motor drive signal line leading to the electromagnetic relay is disconnected when the relay coil is kept energized, it will cause the short circuit to be established to ensure the supply of current to the motor, which also avoids the melting down of the resistor.

  • Patent number: 7948338
Abstract: An electromagnetic switch is provided which is equipped with a built-in electronic control circuit working to control energization of an exciting coil. The electronic control circuit is disposed within a chamber defined by a magnetic plate to be separate from a contact chamber. In other words, the electronic control circuit is disposed between the magnetic plate and the exciting coil, thereby avoiding the adhesion of conductive dusts, as arising from the wear of contacts, to the surface of the electronic control circuit. This results in decreases in electric insulation and short-circuit of the electronic control circuit and also eliminates the need for additional special parts to electrically insulate and shield the electronic control circuit, thus permitting the electromagnetic switch to be reduced in size and produced at a decreased const.

  • Publication number: 20110114739
Abstract: When there is no occupant in seats other than a driver seat during a foot mode, an air-conditioning controller executes a single seat concentration mode to prevent blowing of warm air to a passenger seat and a backseat by closing foot outlets on a passenger seat side and a backseat side. In this case, in order to maintain an air volume blown from the foot outlet on a driver seat side when the controller changes the mode from the normal foot mode to the single seat concentration mode, the controller sets a blower level to be lower than in the case of the normal foot mode with respect to the same target blown air temperature. Thus, an electric power consumed by an electric motor of a blower can be reduced, thereby realizing energy saving.

  • Patent number: 7776133
Abstract: In the operation, a flux mainly composed of silica ore and a non-ferrous metal-ore raw-material are charged into a smelting furnace via a conveying system. In order to increase the production amount of the metal, the flux is conveyed and treated through a first system, in which the flux is crushed in a ball mill and dried in the bail mill, and the crushed and dried flux is conveyed directly before the smelting furnace. The non-ferrous metal ore is treated and conveyed through a second system, in which it is dried with a drier and then conveyed directly before the smelting furnace. In the drier of copper concentrate, the flux is not dried at all.

  • Publication number: 20100121530
Abstract: When the magnitude |?| of a steering angular velocity ? is equal to or greater than a determination angular velocity ?th, an electric motor is estimated to be in a predetermined power use state, and a restriction determination threshold Vonth is set to a first voltage value V1 (S24). When the magnitude |?| of the steering angular velocity ? is less than the determination angular velocity ?th, the restriction determination threshold Vonth is set to a second voltage value V2 (>V1) (S25). When a state in which a power supply voltage Vx is lower than the restriction determination threshold Vonth continues for a predetermined time t1 (S30: Yes), a power use restriction instruction is output to specific vehicle electrical loads. Thus, power restriction is properly imposed on the vehicle electrical loads, whereby a delay in control of the electric motor is prevented, and excessive imposition of power restriction is prevented.
