  • Patent number: 7676178
Abstract: According to a toner cartridge of this invention, a region (R3) extending along the outer circumferential direction of a toner cartridge (50) is not tapered, and a region (R1) on the inner wall of a developing device (10) which corresponds to the region (R3) is not tapered either. This prevents the occurrence of backlash between them, and allows the shutter of the toner replenishment port of the developing device (10) to be reliably closed when the toner cartridge (50) is slid. This can therefore prevent toner from leaking and contaminating the image forming apparatus. According to a toner cartridge of this invention, a cap (60) which seals the opening portion of a casing (51) of a toner cartridge (50a) is formed from a transparent member. This allows an easy check of the color of toner from the front surface side of an image forming apparatus, and eliminates the necessity to add a new member for a color check, thereby contributing to a reduction in cost.

  • Patent number: 7630282
Abstract: An audio disk has a first audio zone and a second audio zone. In the first audio zone, both of a plurality of tracks each including a single piece of music and a first management information including first control information for allowing each track to be reproduced are recorded. The music is composed of audio data produced from either a linear PCM signal or a signal produced by applying lossless compression to the linear PCM signal. In the second audio zone, music composed of audio signal produced under lossy compression, a plurality of files each storing a signal of a single piece of music subjected to the lossy compression, and second management information including second control information for allowing each file to be reproduced are recorded. Each piece of music stored in each file corresponds to the music included in any one of the tracks in the first audio zone.

The DVD-audio data is composed of an audio manager having an audio manager information, an audio manager menu, a first audio title set including first audio data and a second audio title set including second audio data. The first audio data of the first audio title set is connected with audio contents included in the DVD-video data, and a real time information (RTI) pack or a still picture (SPCT) pack is included in the second audio title set. Therefore, the audio contents of the DVD-video data and the audio data of the DVD-audio data are managed by the audio manager information, and text information indicated by real time information or a still picture is displayed while reproducing the audio data. Also, DVD-video data recorded in a DVD-video disc, which is normally reproduced by using a reproducing apparatus dedicated to the DVD-video disc, can be reproduced by using a reproducing apparatus for the DVD-Avd disc.

  • Patent number: 7607295
Abstract: A particulate accumulation amount estimating system is configured to accurately estimate an amount of particulate matter accumulated in a particulate filter based on the pressure difference across the particulate filter even when ash is accumulated in the particulate filter. The particulate accumulation amount estimating system is configured to estimate a particulate accumulation amount of particulate matter accumulated in the particulate filter based on a pressure difference that was detected across the particulate filter and an effective area change of the particulate filter that was detected due to the accumulation of ash in the particulate filter. The estimate of the particulate accumulation amount based on the pressure difference across the filter will be lower as the estimate value of the ash accumulation amount becomes larger.

  • Publication number: 20090107454
Abstract: A multi-link variable compression ratio engine is provided with a crankshaft, a piston, a control shaft, a linkage, a motor and a reduction mechanism. The crankshaft moves the piston within an engine cylinder. The control shaft has an eccentric axle eccentric relative to its center-axis. The linkage operatively connects the piston to the crankshaft and the crankshaft to the eccentric axle of the control shaft. The motor rotates the control shaft so a top-dead-center position of the piston changes to vary compression ratios by changing the positions of the eccentric axle and the linkage. The reduction mechanism couples the motor to the control shaft to transmit a reduced rotation of the motor to the control shaft so a reduction ratio of a rotation angle of the motor to a rotation angle of the control shaft is less at high-compression ratios than at intermediate compression ratios.

  • Publication number: 20090060588
Abstract: A toner cartridge includes a toner receptacle that houses toner, a plurality of stirring members housed in the toner receptacle, a plurality of gears meshing with each other on outside of the toner receptacle, and a phase display section. The stirring members are arranged next to each other in the toner receptacle and rotate to stir the toner. Each of the stirring members has a scraper that scrapes off the toner adhering to an inner surface of the toner receptacle. The gears rotate to rotate the stirring members in an interlocked manner with each other. The phase display section shows a meshing position of the gears so that the gears mesh with each other at a position where a phase difference along a rotating direction of the stirring members occurs between the scrapers of the stirring members that are next to each other.
