    Abstract: A novel means by which HCMV infection can be detected with a high sensitivity and whose practicality is high is disclosed. The present inventors synthesized as many as 15 kinds of HCMV proteins in their full length forms, and intensively studied their reactivities with sera from HCMV-infected patients to find that all the infected patients can be detected without fail when using the pp28 full length protein as an antigen. The pp28 full length protein can be synthesized and purified as a recombinant protein in a large scale by using Escherichia coli, and can be commercially used as an antigen for HCMV tests.

The pigtail fiber and a photo diode are provided in a cylindrical tube with the pigtail fiber center axis and the photo diode center axis aligned with each other. The pigtail fiber and the photo diode can be adjusted to the optimum position in the cylindrical tube by adjustment in the longitudinal direction, thus advantageously simplifying the adjustment process in comparison with that in the conventional optical power monitor in which adjustments by movement in the radial direction, movement in the longitudinal direction and rotation about the center axis are made.

A transmitter transmits the tire condition and a receiver receives the tire condition. An indicator indicates the tire condition. A battery supplies electric power to an engine of the motorcycle, the receiver and the indicator. A control device controls the power supply to the engine, the receiver and the indicator from the battery. A main switch assembly and an activating switch, which activates the receiver and the indicator, are interposed between the battery and the control device. The control device allows power supply to the engine, the receiver and the indicator when the main switch assembly is turned on. The control device also allows power supply to the receiver and the indicator when the activating switch is turned on. In some arrangements, the activating switch is automatically turned on when another sensor detects a condition change of a frame assembly of the motorcycle.
