  • Publication number: 20120194328
Abstract: A vehicle warning apparatus has a vehicular horn disposed in an overlapping arrangement with a supersonic speaker, such that the vehicular horn is positioned between the supersonic speaker and a heat exchanger. The vehicular horn blocks the supersonic speaker from heat produced by the heat exchanger, which prevents the temperature of the supersonic speaker from increasing. Accordingly, troubles such as frequency change of supersonic wave output from the speaker and/or decrease of speaker's product life, without deteriorating heat dissipation capacity of the heat exchanger, are prevented. Furthermore, collective arrangement of the supersonic speakers on a single board attached on the vehicular horn improves the install-ability of the vehicle warning apparatus in the vehicle, and improves the directional reach of the supersonic wave.

  • Publication number: 20120182136
Abstract: A vehicle (approach) warning apparatus generates a warning sound that is emitted from a parametric speaker and a vehicle horn, by driving the vehicle horn with a rectangular wave signal of 0 volts or more, thereby preventing a power loss due to a counter electromotive force that is caused by an alternation of a plus electric voltage and a minus electric voltage in the horn as well as preventing a problematic distortion of the warning sound from the horn. Further, since the vehicle (approach) warning apparatus is devised to prevent the parametric speaker from generating a low pitch sound of 500 Hz that is reproduced by the horn, an influence of a higher harmonic wave upon a reproduced sound from the parametric speaker is reduced, thereby preventing deterioration of a sound from the parametric speaker.

  • Publication number: 20120182138
Abstract: A vehicle includes a front grille and a vehicle presence notification apparatus that includes a supersonic speaker, where the vehicle presence notification apparatus is behind the front grille. The front grille includes a plurality of grille bars that may be in a front range of the supersonic speakers. The grille bars that are positioned in the front range of the supersonic speaker includes a curved convex and an upper plate, which have a substantial U shape cross section. The supersonic wave is reflected on an inside surface of one grille bar in a downward direction, and is reflected again on an outside surface of an adjacent grille bar in a forward or frontal direction to output toward a front field of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 8036831
Abstract: The present invention is directed to serve ligand screening apparatuses, ligand screening methods, programs and a recording medium for studying the binding analysis between a receptor including an induced-fit type receptor and a ligand. First, analysis and calculation of normal mode are conducted, and then fluctuation of a dihedral angle of a main chain in a steady state is calculated. Then by carrying out a molecular dynamic calculation while imposing constraint on each atom based on the fluctuation, a dynamic structure of the receptor is predicted more accurately. By using the dynamic structure obtained in the molecular dynamic calculation and an interaction function, receptor/ligand binding which is also applicable to an induced-fit type receptor is predicted with high accuracy.

  • Publication number: 20110208073
Abstract: The disclosed is an arteriosclerosis evaluating apparatus capable of easily separating pulse wave data detected at one measurement site into an incident wave and a reflected wave and capable of easily determining and evaluating the degree of arteriosclerosis. The pulse wave transmitted through an artery is detected at one site of a living body by a pulse wave detection device, and the detected pulse wave is fitted with a fitting function by a breakdown device so that the detected pulse wave can be broken down into an incident wave and a reflected wave. The degree of arteriosclerosis is evaluated from the amplitude intensities (i.e., peak intensities) of the incident wave and the reflected wave broken down from the pulse wave.

  • Patent number: 7951272
Abstract: The present invention is made to provide a method of producing a ZnO thin film in which the c-axis is oriented in-plane over a large area. A ZnO target 28 as the material of the thin film is sputtered by using a magnetron sputtering system, and a flow of material (material flow) directed from the cathode 23 to the anode 24 is generated in a plasma. The material flow has a high density at its central part and has a low density as it departs from the central part. A substrate 20 is fixed at a position displaced from the central axis of a region 30 where the material flow is generated so as to be inclined relative to the central axis. Thereby, a temperature gradient is naturally formed on the substrate 20, and the c-axis of the ZnO thin film deposited on the substrate 20 is oriented in-plane to the temperature gradient direction. Since the substrate 20 is fixed so as to be inclined relative to the material flow, the area where the c-axis is consistently oriented in-plane becomes larger than before.

  • Patent number: 7904665
Abstract: The multiprocessor system includes multiple cells having identical functions, and each of the multiple cells has a processor, a cache memory, and a main memory. The multiple cells include the first cell as a request cell, the second cell as a home cell, and the third cell as an owner cell. The latest version of the target data stored in the main memory of the second cell is stored in the cache memory of the third cell. When the first cell issues a read request for the target data to the second cell, the second cell issues a snoop request to the third cell in response to the read request. The third cell directly transmits the target data to the first cell in response to the snoop request. Also, the third cell issues the reply write back to the second cell in response to the snoop request. The first cell issues a request write back to the same address as that of the target data in the second cell.
