  • Publication number: 20050237500
Abstract: An ion wind generator (20) is arranged on one side of a light source (1). The ion wind generator (20) produces an air current by negatively ionizing air by corona discharges at a needle electrode (21), or negative side, and drawing the negatively-ionized air at a cylindrical electrode (22), or positive side. The air current blows toward the light source (1) and removes heat generated by the light source (1). An ultraviolet ray from the light source (1) is introduced to a vent of the ion wind generator (20) by a first dichroic mirror (4) and a ultraviolet ray reflection mirror (17). Though air exhausted from the vent includes ozone (o3) produced by corona discharges, the ozone is decomposed by the ultraviolet ray.

  • Publication number: 20050219468
Abstract: A projection type video display is provided with three LED light sources. A first LED light source emits a light in red, a second LED light source emits a light in green, and a third LED light source emits a light in blue. Lights in respective colors emitted from each LED light source are guided into a light incidence surface of a rod integrator by a cross dichroic mirror. The cross dichroic mirror is formed of a first cross dichroic mirror portion and a second dichroic mirror portion. The first cross dichroic mirror portion is divided into two portions, and the second cross dichroic mirror portion, too, is divided into two portions. The cross dichroic mirror has structure of a cross arrangement in which these four divided portions bring respective corner sides into close contact.

  • Publication number: 20050213045
Abstract: A lens array wheel 4 receives light irradiated in a direction parallel to its rotation axis, to cyclically deflect the light. On each of liquid crystal display panels 7R, 7G, and 7B, the light is circularly scrolled, the effect of substantial intermittent illumination is produced, and hold blurring is reduced. A panel driver 15 starts to feed a pixel-driving signal in the succeeding frame to a pixel existing at a position, through which an illuminating area passes, on each of the liquid crystal display panels 7R, 7G, and 7B.

  • Publication number: 20050213055
Abstract: A LED light source is formed of a plurality of LEDs (light-emitting diodes). Primary optical axes of respective LEDs are set to be perpendicular to the plane surface (LED arranging plane surface). A first LED light source emits a light in red, a second LED light source emits a light in green, and a third LED light source emits a light in blue. An optical member has a first dichroic mirror portion and a second dichroic mirror portion alternately arranged, and the mirror potions inclined and arranged so as to form a saw-tooth appearance. Both the first dichroic mirror portion and the second dichroic mirror portion are designed to transmit the light in blue, and reflect lights in other colors.

  • Publication number: 20050099607
Abstract: Modulated light (image light) which has been modulated by passing through a liquid crystal display panel passes through an apical angle variable prism (so-called, a vari-angle prism) and then is enlarged and projected by a projection lens. The apical angle variable prism is configured to change the prism apical angle with, for example, an electromagnetic actuator. The microcomputer calculates a projection optical axis correction value based on hand shake detection signals from a sensor and controls the aforementioned actuator based on the correction value. With this control, shakes of projected images due to hand shakes are prevented.

  • Publication number: 20040189956
Abstract: The auxiliary light source has LED chips respectively emitting red lights arranged therein in an array shape, and has lens cells for parallelizing light arranged therein on the light exit side of the LED chips, for example. The LED chip is arranged in correspondence with each of lenses composing a pair of fly's eye lenses, and the pair of lenses introduces the light emitted from the LED chip into the whole surfaces of liquid crystal panels. A mixing mirror transmits white light emitted from a main light source and reflects light emitted from the auxiliary light source, and mixes the white light and the auxiliary light respectively emitted from both the light sources and introduces the mixed lights into the pair of fly's eye lenses.

  • Patent number: 4623168
Abstract: An automatic seat belt system makes use of a drive member, for example, a drive tape for causing a runner to move back and forth along a guide rail mounted from the side roof to the center pillar within the room of an automobile. The drive tape is formed of a stretched tape made of a polyamide resin such as nylon 11 or nylon 12. The drive tape requires a low material cost and exhibits superb resistance to tensile and compression forces. The former advantage enables to reduce the overall manufacturing cost of the automatic seat belt system. On the other hand, the latter advantage permits use of a narrower and thinner drive tape, whereby permitting an overall size reduction to the automatic seat belt system. Owing to the possibility of using such a narrow drive tape, the drive tape can be arranged in a state bent in its widthwise direction without increasing its sliding resistance to any substantial degree.

  • Patent number: 4607863
Abstract: A passive seat belt system includes a guide rail, a movable anchor, drive means for causing the anchor to travel along the rail, a base to be mounted on a vehicle body and equipped with plural interlocking portions arranged with a vertical interval when mounted on the vehicle body, and a support member displaceable between an engagement position, at which the member engages either one of the interlocking portions of the base so as to restrain an occupant with a webbing fastened to the anchor, and a non-engagement position. The member is composed of a single rod-like member which in the event of emergency, engages the anchor assuming the occupant-restraining position so as to transmit a load exerted on the anchor to the vehicle body by way of the base. The above system permits, with a relatively simple and compact structure, easy wearing and release of a webbing without need for occupant's hands and change of the holding position of the anchor depending on the physical constitution of the occupant.
