  • Patent number: 5707245
Abstract: A memory card connector with an ejection mechanism 10 comprises an operating rod 15 sliding lengthwise along a side surface of a frame 11 and a cam bar 16 linked to the operating rod 15 intended for the ejection of the card. A spring 17 is attached to an overhang at an inner end of the operating rod 15 and to a mounting member 19 on the frame 11. Because of such an arrangement, the operating rod 15 is forced forward; and at the same time, due to the fact that the mounting member 19 is closer to the center of the connector than an overhang 34 of the operating rod 15, the operating rod is forced to the side surface of the frame 11.

  • Patent number: 5707316
Abstract: An automatic transmission control apparatus has a clutch, a hydraulic servo for the clutch, a fluid pressure control unit, a range shift detector, and an electronic control unit. The fluid pressure control unit has a manual valve, a pressure regulating valve device, and a changeover valve device. The electronic control unit controls the changeover valve device and the pressure regulating valve device. Immediately after a shift to the forward driving range, the electronic control unit holds the changeover valve device in such a state that a forward driving range pressure is supplied without passing through the pressure regulating valve device. Then, the electronic control unit shifts the changeover valve device to such a state that a regulated pressure is supplied from the pressure regulating valve device, which has been switched to a pressure regulating state by the electronic control unit. This control operation precisely sets the fluid pressure changeover timing and the initial fluid pressure.

  • Patent number: 5692991
Abstract: An automatic transmission control apparatus has an input clutch, a hydraulic servo for the clutch, a fluid temperature detector, an engine start detector, a range shift detector, and a control device for controlling the fluid pressure supply to the hydraulic servo. The control device raises the fluid pressure supply to the hydraulic servo on the basis of predetermined rising characteristics in normal operation. When it is determined that the shift has been performed for the first time since the start of the engine and it is determined that the fluid temperature is lower than a predetermined temperature, the control device rapidly raises the fluid pressure supply to the hydraulic servo up to the required engaging pressure.

  • Patent number: 5692990
Abstract: An automatic transmission control apparatus has a vehicle speed detector, an accelerator pedal operation detector, a brake pedal operation detector, a clutch hydraulic servo that is neutral-controlled, a brake hydraulic servo that is hill holding-controlled, and a control device for controlling the fluid pressure supplied to the two servos. The control device selectively changes the start timing of the fluid pressure supply control. If it is determined that the vehicle is stopped and that the vehicle is not on an uphill, the control device causes a pressure reducing device and a pressure supplying device to simultaneously start reducing the fluid pressure supply to the clutch servo and supplying fluid pressure to the brake servo, respectively.

  • Patent number: 5690581
Abstract: A control system for an automatic transmission includes a clutch for transmitting the rotation of an engine to the transmission and a hydraulic servo for applying/releasing the clutch. A starting state is determined by satisfaction of at least one of the following conditions: the throttle opening is not fully closed; the brake pedal is released; and/or the vehicle speed is substantially above zero. Sensors detect the throttle opening of the engine and the applied/released state of the clutch and send signals to a control unit. A hydraulic controller controls the oil pressure fed to the hydraulic servo. When the starting state is detected, the control unit detects the actual applied/released state of the clutch to determine the difference between the applied/released state and a predetermined ideal applied/released state to set an oil pressure correction according to that difference.

  • Patent number: 5630772
Abstract: A system and method for controlling an automatic transmission in a vehicle drive train including an engine, the automatic transmission and a fluid coupling for transmitting the rotation of the engine to the transmission. The transmission includes a clutch applied when a forward running range is selected; a second one-way clutch which is applied, when the first clutch is applied, to establish a forward 1st speed; and a brake for locking the one-way clutch, when applied, to block the reverse rotation of the output shaft of the transmission. A first hydraulic servo receives a first oil pressure for applying the first clutch and a second hydraulic servo receives a second oil pressure for applying the brake. When a forward running range is selected, with the vehicle stopped, the engine idling and a foot brake engaged, the oil pressure of the first hydraulic servo is lowered from the oil pressure at the 1st speed whereas the oil pressure of the second hydraulic servo is raised to a modulated pressure.
